I have no interest in CU playing a team they have already beat

Nov 10, 2015, 7:35 PM

This year. I hated the Bama-LSU rematch for NC. We should not have to beat ND again in a first playoff game. JMO.

Good thing there's 4 more polls.

Sounds like you were on the field and beat ND by yourself.

We know what you mean.

Ah, I see your tasteful choice of rewording.

yep never been big on rematches myself but ours a few years ago against VT was pretty nice

I would love to beat the brakes off ND on a neutral field

Nov 10, 2015, 8:07 PM

They won't have any excuse the next time we meet

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Surely they would find an excuse somewhere

Nov 10, 2015, 11:06 PM

it seems the more weeks that pass the more excuses. i think some ND fans have actually convinced themselves they beat us

Don't care who we play. Just win baby, win. National Champs is all that matters.

I wouldn't mind playing Ohio state as that wasn't this year. I think it's crap if we have to replay the Irish. We would have to beat them twice to get to the same level as them beating us once. Doesn't sit well on my mind.

Won't give you more satisfaction beating whoever they think are the best 2x?

If we beat ND and then Bama, we will be the champions of the entire universe, and will be crowned kings forever and ever. There will be no other champions like CLEMSON. And they will call it "CLEMSONING". lol

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I agree

Nov 11, 2015, 12:39 AM

simply for the fact that no matter how good the team is playing it will be extremely tough to beat a good ND twice in the same year. It is hard to beat any team twice in a row even against lesser talent. Do I think we could beat ND again if we had to play again? Yes. But I think the odds of us beating a team like Baylor or OK ST or even Stanford would be much greater than going back to back against ND in the same year. Yes we have seen them before, would have confidence (which might hurt more than it would help), and would know what they are bringing to the table game plan wise but the same could be said for them. I'm sure they feel they should have won that game in the Valley and would be extremely hyped to get a rematch and attempt to put a beat down on us.

I'm hoping for Ok St to get into that #4 spot for our first round game and saving Bama for the NC. Beating Bama in the final would make us the undisputed champions in the hearts and minds of all the talking heads.

I am split on this one. On one hand yes, it doesn't seem right that if we play twice and only win once why do they get the props. And if they beat us by two points on their home field would we have received a second chance? Last, I would also like to play a new team and not the same, especially one that may have a little extra motivation attempting to seek revenge.
On the other hand, it would be sweet satisfaction shutting up so many of those arrogant Notre Dame fans for good, and maybe this time coach Kelly won't blame the players but himself for the loss.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Scurred! Would love to beat them twice!!***
