have gotten most anyone they wanted and was stunned we settled for Hatfield.

Hatfield proved to be a good man, a decent man, a gentle man, and a good coach. He just wasn't a great coach, which is what most of us at the time thought we could have gotten.

Decent coach, terrible recruiter, depleted the entire roster for 4 years that was loaded with talent everywhere, also told my buddy and I to set our beers down if we wanted to take a picture with him.I thank the lord ever day for Dabo!

DeBerry turned it down. Hatfield was a big hire, but lot of Arkansas fans were happy to see him go.
