I'm think sweet 16. Anything less is a wasted season.

For me to feel like the can get even mediocre players to buy in after his ‘best team ever’ shat the ACC bed Tyler again… is Elite 8… anything other and he should go

Elite Eight would be the only stop that would be an advancement that he has

never made before. I wholeheartedly do not expect that. Would I love to see it? ABSOLUTELY! That is about the talent level of this team, I think, IF we played up to our potential. We would have to have a couple of those "out of our minds" good shooting nights to go beyond that, to the Promised Land.

We have all seen the more likely outcome, on rinse and repeat, for several years now. Even I, who fully expected Brownell to fold like a cheap tent, was shocked at the absolute turd we laid in the ACC Tournament. He allowed the team to do the one thing that could really hurt us in the rankings, which was a complete blowout domination by a much lesser talented team.

Given that, the odds of a Jekyll / Hyde turnaround in the Big Dance, ASSUMING we get there, are slim to none.

In my opinion, he has to win one game. If he does that, he will have 2

20 win seasons in a row, and a NCAA tourney win this year, which would be improvement. Granted, it's the bare minimum, and 14 years blah blah blah, but there is no freaking way he gets canned with that. NO WAY. If it were me, if we don't win at least one game, he'd be gone, because in addition to the very middling and frustrating 14 year history, not winning a tourney game would cap off a miserable season-ending collapse, a huge fail at a time when his career and the Clemson program needed a big win.

100% agree. If he gets in the tournament and wins first game even thou I would love to throw him out on his head and next year we will get the same thing as the last 14 years I would bring him back. It’s hard to throw someone out in that case. If that happens, I would have my man ready to take over next year. Next years squad will not be as talented or experienced. I personally have with so many others wrote off on BB for the time being.

I think the stagnation of the program is such that everyone is sick and tired of the flops. They’d have to make it to 8 to wash that taste out. And we all know there’s a better chance of closing the southern border than there is of Clemson winning 3 games in a tournament.

After 14 years of largely mediocre and inconsistent results...

he should be fired regardless. Clemson deserves better.

CBB has successfully lowered all Clemson fans expectations for the ncaat. Noone has any idea how this team will play, could win 0,1 or maybe 2 but certainly not 3. Even with 0 wins I bet he will be back, Neff bbf syndrome.
