Guy that fills in for Finebaum sure is high on the coots

The other day, he caught me by surprise when he said he thought the gamecock offense would be humming next year. Today he said that he thinks South Carolina would have one of the top two of three offenses in the SEC. Now I'm not sure that's saying much considering the 13 SEC offenses not named Alabama. I mean Auburn and South Carolina averaged 10 points against us last year. All kidding aside, I wonder why he's so high on them. Do they have their entire offensive line returning? And if so, is that a good thing or a bad thing? I mean I saw their offensive line last year.
He also said today, that since he is an SEC guy, he hopes Auburn beats Clemson 50 to nothing.

completely going through and engulfing their QB several times. And their QB was really banged up there right before halftime. I've never had sympathy in a game like that, but 35-0 and a limping QB that is a true freshman made it pretty close. That score could have easily been 70-7.

Agreed. Still have them in the cellar of the SEC this coming season but best case scenario is that they may not be in last place.

That's just in the East! What happens when you include LSU and Auburn and Bama? Would that put the coots as the (potentially) 6th best offense assuming Bentley doesn't die from head trauma half way through the season with the o-line they have?!?

offenses, but SC was 107th in offensive S&P+ last year. Only 5 P5 schools were worse: Kansas, Wake, Illinois, BC, and Rutgers. They were dead last in the SEC (UGA was 2nd worst at 93).
Alabama will easily have a better offense, LSU will have a better offense, A&M will have a better offense, and most likely a handful of others like Ole Miss, Miss St, UGA, etc as well. They will be middle of the pack at best.

this year, two seats are going to get awfully hot in Athens and Gainesville, and one is going to be empty in Knoxville.

Their line will be as good or worse than last year. Hard to score points when there's a race to the qb every play

A lot of hype probably stemming from Bentley being the best QB in the league.
But that's not enough to make up for our glaring holes especially on the OL.
