Mukuba Are transferring? I can understand some of the players entering the portal, but it appeared to me that both of these players would be given plenty of playing time next year. David, can you give us any thoughts on this?

Thought I saw where Mayes only had single digit snaps the last couple of games. Seems like he got passed on the depth chart.

Playing time!
$$$$ feeling like they deserve more snaps than the young players who were taking reps from them. Instead of going out and working and improving; "let me just leave"! Maybe the grass is greener over there anyway.

Barnes and Griffin were coming on very strong! The freshmen we have who RS will take Mayes out rather easy; he was already getting passed on the depth chart.

You didn't ask; but the same for Toriano Pride being passed by Aveion Terrell at CB. The younger players were making more plays and deserved to get more snaps.

Pretty clear they told Mayes that upgrading RG was the top priority

And, Brent Venables recruited him and Toriano Pride!

Both of these players were losing reps to younger players(Barnes and Terrell). So, hit the portal where a school like Oklahoma has holes. And, you know the coach who recruited to a college campus in the 1st place.

Plus, Mukuba is from Texas, so he's closer to home.

Mayes snap count was only going to go down. Simple. Dabo likely got real honest with him. He likely goes to a FCS school or South Carolina.
