jimbo fisher kicked cb greg reid off the team this morning. g reid is the best cb on the fs team and this will be a big help to clemson, in their game with their best corner and punt returner not being there. great news!!

TALLAHASSEE — Florida State cornerback Greg Reid has been dismissed from the school's football team for a violation of team rules, according to a statement from coach Jimbo Fisher.

The senior's dismissal comes less than a month after he was arrested near his home of Valdosta, Ga. on multiple misdemeanor traffic violations and marijuana possession. Reid later denied possessing the drug. According to a police report of the stop, however, the odor of marijuana was detected as soon as the officer opened the car door to perform an inventory search on it. A burnt cigar and less than an ounce of marijuana also was present in a brown paper bag on the front passenger seat.


Reid is due in court for arraignment on the charges Sept. 5.

The arrest was Reid's second in less than a year. Last fall, he was arrested for lying to Tallahassee police investigating a stolen scooter that was registered in his name.

Although I do hope Reid gets his head back on straight because he is a great football player. It would be a shame to waste that talent.

D-line than I was their cover guys. The key to this game will be us being able to gameplan around their d-line with our inexperienced O-line. If they manhandle us up front it could be a long game.
