As an illustrious former student and current bumper sticker level contributor to IPTAY I would like to express my frustration with student attendance at basketball games.
I attended Clemson from 99' to 03' and I was forced to watch the most God Awfully terrible basketball in the history of basketball. I watched Adam Allensbach, a 7' center, get stuffed by the rim on an open dunk attempt. I watched Will Solomon shoot, and shoot, and shoot, and shoot, regardless if he was open, actually in the game, or conscious. I watched Olo Babalolololo dribble the ball off of his foot approximately 3,000 times during his career, and yet, I still managed to attend around 2/3 of the home games at Little John. I attended these games knowing that we were playing for the right to be considered the home team in the annual Clemson v Florida St. ACC tournament play in game. I also attended these games knowing that generally, I was on academic probation and risked being kicked out of school with one more bad semester...but as the kids are saying today YOLO (is that what they say, it's hard to keep up with the new lingo)!
Why did I attend these basketball games you ask? I attended because I enjoyed attending Clemson sporting events, and I enjoyed hanging out with my friends.
Now I see that we are no longer terrible at basketball, in fact, we are pretty dang good at the moment. We even have one of the most exciting players in college basketball on our team, but we have no students attending the games. Dan, as I mentioned before, I am a fairly illustrious alumni, and I will not be donating to IPTAY at the bumper sticker level until you fix this. It's embarrassing to watch the other team shoot free throws with a background that includes 3 students and 2,000 empty purple seats. As an alumni I authorize you to use whatever means necessary to rectifying this problem, up to and including the release of chemical agents in the library and dorms during basketball games.
Please Dan, I really like cheering for a good Clemson basketball team, and it's going to be hard to keep this up without any fan support. The players are already tweetering about the issues, and that can't look good for recruiting.
Sincerely, Drewtigeralum Class of 03' BA English 2.7 GPA

I was the token straight white male in her class. She liked to ask me for the oppressors point of view. It went a little something like this.
Now Mr. Tigeralum, as a white male chauvinist pig, please explain again why you are oppressing people. Does it make you feel GOOD ABOUT YOUR SELF, NOW DOES IT YOU DISGUSTING MAN BEAST!
Drewtigeralum: huh?

class, and on the first day she asked me what my opinion was about how everyone called President Barker "Dr Barker" even though he didn't have a PhD and hadn't earned that title like she did.
I responded the way anyone would in my position and said I was disappointed that Clemson hired him instead of a woman.

I would have asked her if she had a Dr. in sandwich making, and if so, why didn't I have a mofracking sandwich in front of me right now!
I one time tried to stand up for two white security guards in a story about a hispanic woman who was arrested for walking out of a store with something she didn't purchase because of a language barrier.
I mentioned that they were paid to stop theft and they had no way of reading the woman's mind.
She got real angry about that. I got a C in the class.

So much those feels. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. If you make it out with your English degree you will be qualified to be a barista at numerous coffee houses.

My favorite tigernet post. Gave it a thumbs up... Not really sure what else to do other than say, "bravo." You had me at "God Awfully terrible basketball in the history of basketball." I was at USC during the 70's and actually saw some wonderful basketball then, but not so much since. Have season's tickets now to USC BB in hopes that Frank II can turn it around.
Thanks for the laugh and hope your post helps D-Radasomethingavich fix the problem.
