The transfer portal works best for Coaches, administrators, and aggressive football programs.

They can use the transfer portal to force players out of the program ostensibly “for their own benefit to find playing time” and replace them with better players.

Players have to choose to leave, but many of them will leave if enough pressure is put on them. In the past such coaches and teams would have to pull the annually renewing scholarship. Now the coaches can point to the portal and tell the player that another scholarship is right around the Corner. Just enter the portal.

The biggest lie in the transfer portal story is making people think this is in the best interest of the players.
