Clemson Thoughts

I could not help but think of the Sons of Clemson as I watched the Alumni Band followed by this year's band come down the hill and pass by THE ROCK! Clemson University is a unique place in this country because it embodies all that is good and virtuous in this great land. From our high academic ranking among universities in this land to our fabulous athletes and then to our coaches. Dabo and his team of coaches specifically (but others are the same from what I can see)are not only great coaches but fine men to lead our future leaders.
And then when Rodriquez returned that punt and later the crowd met another Tiger hero who fought off his injuries and received the Purple Heart, I could not help but think how truly fortunate we are to have this wonderful heritage!
I am so happy that my grandson has been fortunate enough to attend this institution where the hunger for learning is fed, the people are real and down to earth, and the future looks so very bright.
I salute all of the Sons of Clemson, past, present and future, and may their dreams be realized.
(I am not am alumnus but do truly love this place called Clemson University!)

I was one of those in the Alumni Band and everything you said was so true! It was great to be there and I can't believe it will be a whole year before I get back.

Maybe you can make it back before then and I was impressed by the Alumni Band! I'll never forget watching you guys followed by the current band as you came down the hill! Thanks!!
