this is where managing a roster and egos matters. You bring in one of those guys you likely lose Klubnik. Yes, they're proven now, but I'm pretty sure we made promises to Cade in recruiting that he's our guy in the future, and maybe even this year. You can't start breaking those promises. Especially with QB's, where we've recruited extraordinarily well, you don't want to burn that bridge

Caleb and Mario package deal does sound pretty cool, though. I guess that’s why we have men of strong character leading our program instead of some turd like Ryan Day.

coaches that use the portal big time are going to alienate their current roster. That's not a good thing. Saban is doing it right, sparingly and where you can get a true upgrade. Dabo will do the same. Clearly we think we can do that on the interior OL, and we've made offers. I still think LB is an area we could add a transfer as we're not deep and don't have experience. Everywhere else we're pretty set, at least as far as the 2 deep is concerned.

You are right Sttriper, if true this should open up dome’s eyes but so far the NCAA eyes have been BLIND AS H##L. They could change this Portal but the Court has spoken on the NIL. The clock is on the NCAA if this becomes true.
It is cold as H##L so Pearman should be off his bass boat and can make a ?? call.

I did find this on a website called “roughing the passer”. It was also picked up on the Pitt Panther message board and the Coots forum.
“Rumors have swirled since it was revealed shortly before Christmas that Ohio State is under investigation, but Stroud is the first notable player to leave since the revelation.
More defections are expected this week, but none are expected to be as significant as the departure of Stroud.”
