Men at 25 play football. Men at 40 play tennis. Men at 60 play golf. Have you noticed as men get older their balls get smaller.

Good for him and us if true.

WL

He’s already 365 pounds as a HS senior.

Hope he sticks with Clemson.

Wherever he lands, he’s got a lot of hard work to do.

What's going on with our recruiting. Thought for sure with having a good start and back in CFP conversation etc that recruiting would take off. But it's actually just the opposite.

Our targets such as nation for example and other positions like CB and safety we've recently offered to lower rated guys. Now a possible decommit. What gives.

I didn't thumbs down, but our recruiting (getting commits) slows to almost a halt once the season starts. Recruits and parents alike have mentioned many times how they like the main focus of our coaches shifting to the team when the games begin. We will probably take around 5 more so it's not like we have many spots left. This current class is how our normal classes usually play out.

You aren't paying attention. Recruiting is fine. One guy leaves and the sky is falling crowd shows up.

Not a sky is falling. Has nothing to do with the decommit. That happens. As referenced, we've sent out several offers recently to positions that we had some studs that looked very promising to commit. I understand recruiting slows down, we're moving towards summer officials etc. I'm all for that. But there were some guys we knew would be late commits. Those usually are the ones we host fall officials during home games. I'm not seeing those guys coming to our games. That's all.

I explained it to you the only way I can. We've only had 1 home game so far that our coaches wanted to entertain recruits and for over a week forecasters said a hurricane was coming that day. Maybe take a break from recruiting until the signatures come in?

Have you followed Clemson longer than just this off season?

We always have a few commitments really early, a big rush after the all in cook out, then radio silence until after official visits the last week or so of the regular season when we get a couple before early signing day, then we ramp it up to fill the last couple spots after early departures / transfers.

We will be ok. Watched a a small army of recruits go up the hill prior to the entrance for the NC state game. Don’t know who they were but there was a bunch of them. I’m sure we will see more at the Syracuse and Miami games.

I think most recruits are holding out for NIL money...why

Oct 13, 2022, 9:20 AM [ in reply to Re: Chris Ard says we are about to lose a 4 star recruit ]

wouldn't you......If they don't get what they want the keep looking or just wait until there is nothing left then commit.
The high 4* and 5* are going to get harder and harder to get at Clemson. Most low 4* will be the easier ones to get.

There has been rumors for awhile that the DL Green was going to decommit, may be more than one player changing their mind.
