Not saying he won't be a great qb this year, because I think his skillset is ideal for Riley's offense. I just think he needs more weight for durability.

Umm so you think he gained weight during season? That’s when these boys lose weight and DW4 was lean and didn’t pack on lbs easily. It wasn’t until his junior year off season he put the weight on. I’m fine with Cade playing at 205 this season. I think max he needs to be 210 so he can carry it comfortably. I don’t see him ever being 215 and up.

But yet only orange kool-aid and sunshine pumping allowed. I forgot. Forget the fact that I am still calling for Clemson to win our 4th title this year. Don't know how saying that 205 is a little light for a dual threat qb with not much to back him up except a true freshman with no experience that we want to redshirt.

Who did we have ready to back up DW4 or Trevor? You rarely if ever have a backup that can win you a title. Especially in this transfer NIL world. If Cade goes down that’s our season. But guess what. If a lot of QBs across the nation goes down that’s their season.

Cade weighed in at 205. DW4 210 his second year at Clemson.
Cade will continue to gain weight. Not worried in the slightest

Just curious. What are you basing that off of? Last I checked DW4 got injured his freshman year. Cade hasn’t been injured yet.

Because Deshaun can take a beating. He welcomes the contact. He is kind of one of a kind. Also, I watched Cade just get pounded in HS and blew his shoulder out. Same weight maybe, but looks smaller. Just different.

Of course, Bryce Young played at 5'10" 180 lbs in college and was picked #1 after eating his way to 200 lbs for Combine.

I hate to tell everyone but all players will lose weight during the season. Guys have been working hard to hit their weights, when the season starts working out to hit certain weight will be over. Cade will most likely play around 198-200 lbs.

Cade is 6’2”. I think 205-210 lbs is a good weight for him. Trevor was 6’6” and was 220-225. I think if Cade gets any heavier it would take his running ability away, or at least slow it down. I think his current weight is perfect for his frame. I think the 10 lbs of muscle he added over the spring and summer is perfect.
