I like Cade. I like his progression this year. I ike his competitiveness and I think he will just contonue to imporve.
But... running the ball was absolutely a mistake. It just happened to be a mistake that worked out.
I celebrated like crazy that he made it, but I was also yelling for him to thorw it away.

If he doesn’t get in it’s basically a turnover. But as you say, we can recognize that while still being ecstatic that he scored. I certainly cheered the TD, and then held my breath during the review. Basically too close to call - wouldn’t have been reversed regardless of call on the field. Hard to believe ACC officials called it a score considering the opponent. It’s almost as if they’re not biased. Naaaah…

I turned to everyone around me before that play and said, “man, I really hope Cade channels his inner Tajh Boyd and runs this one in”. That’s what our QBs have done for years.

We have expected our QBs to pull the ball down and run when nothing is there. It’s been part of our identity at least since Tajh. I was really happy to see Cade do this. Maybe this will be the thing that gives him the confidence to do this on a regular basis - again, like our QBs have been doing for years.
