Boys, I have been working with a family in Powdersville for several months now

to locate some acreage. Well, I finally got the right piece and have been talking with the father and daughter for several weeks...Over the weekend we got to the point to move forward so I invited them to my house to talk over EVERYTHING involved...Face to Face. There is a lot involved buying acreage that you are going to split into parcels..So I wanted to go over it in person and make sure we all understood what was involved. Anyway, today they come to my house...Father,wife, daughter and husband,son, and two grandchildren.....ALL OF THEM IN COOT ATTIRE!!!
Boys, my first thought was, LORD don't let me have a heart attach and die while they are here,because when the cops get here they are for sure gonna think these Gamecocks read some of my post and tracked my down and murdered me!
Just another day in the life of Spud,LOL!!!!

funds needed to close for a Yankee moving here from New York. I was doing this by hand and she was sitting across my desk from me. I wrote down Title Search and the fee, Termite letter and the fee,Credit Report and the fee,Survey and the fee,...and then Transfer Fee and the fee of $250.00(Back then Transfer Fees did not yet exist)...at which point she said, "What is this transfer fee?". I said,"You said you are from New York? Right?". She said,"Yes". I said,"Well, when you cross the Mason Dixon line we have a Two Hundred Fifty Dollar transfer fee in South Carolina that will be refunded if you move back..."....and I just kept on writing.
......about three or four minutes later she mumbled to herslef,"...I have never heard of such a thing"...and I busted a gut laughing....BOYS, I HAVE HAD A GREAT CAREER IN REAL ESTATE. I have met a lot of great people from all over the country and I have had a fun time doing it. But sometimes, I have almost done myself in with my corny sense of humor.
