Great way to look at the immigration bill.

The lead Democratic negotiator described the bill as, “this is not comprehensive border control or immigration reform, this is a down payment on reform.” This bill is a bi-partisan compromise, something greatly missed in today’s society. It’s not perfect no matter which side you’re on. But it’s an improvement over where we are today, and we can always do more later.
Deep down, MAGAs know this, but their devotion to Trump and following his orders tops their desire for change at the border, which is why you see them lashing out so hard at this. We are watching two of their core values, Trump and border control, compete against each other.

Let’s start with the $60B for Ukraine… in our border bill!!
It permanently opens our border with exclusive judicial judgments from the DC district to be “constitutional or otherwise”!!
It stops no one, just speeds up processing.

Not permanently. It closes it more than what it is now.

And could be lowered more in the future. It’s better than we have now, and Trump can close it more once he wins.

He doesn't get that. Still waiting for him to explain how "status quo" is better. Of course we know he can't. 😆

that we find ourselves in today. But MAGA owns the decision of not improving it today. All because Trump doesn’t want to give Biden a win.

Trump offers and his rudderless followers support. This bill is an example of how congress is supposed to work , bipartisan, and magaphiles can’t stand it because the old orange ballsac didn’t do it and it might hurt his hopeless reelection chances.
The US has survived worse and when Trump gets waxed AGAINin November maybe the spell will be broken on you worshippers and America can reclaim some sanity.

to debate the real aspects of this horrendous immigration bill.
This Democrat talking point that "anyone who opposes the bill is doing so because Donald Trump said to" is total BS. I've actually read a chunk of the proposed bill and it doesn't take long to see that it is typical DC Swamp excrement that won't really do a thing to secure our border OR stop this out of control illegal immigration.
If you got a bone to pick with someone who opposes a bill then perhaps talk specifics of the actual bill instead of generalities and simply attributing peoples opposition to being a mindless MAGA drone...
Here's a good place to start:
https://www.tigernet.com/clemson-forum/message/if-you-want-to-read-the-senate-bill-you-can-get-it-here:-34391816#34391816
Why would anyone in our Government want to allow and support illegal immigration? Why are we even having to negotiate a position that allows (and codifies by number) ANY illegal immigration across our border as acceptable? This is why those of us who oppose this horrendous bill do so - not because of some made up, Democrat talking point that the orange orangutan is pulling the Republican strings.
I've yet to see a Democrat (or anyone on this board) give a coherent, reason based answer to the very question at the heart of this issue:
"Why would we allow any non-US citizen, without proper vetting, identification, or approved immigration paperwork to simply walk across any part of our 1,954 mile long border and then be allowed to stay in the USA?"
Those of us that oppose this bill have a common sense idea of what border security and immigration must be: Coming into the USA outside of established border crossings without proper identification and approved immigration paperwork is illegal. Anyone caught doing so should be removed from the USA and sent back to their home country....PERIOD. It doesn't take 350 pages of political weasel words, obfuscation, and a whole litany of exceptions, exemptions, and payoffs to get to real border security. But as anyone who has started reading this bill knows - this bill isn't about real border security but codifying the illegal behavior that the DC Swamp wants...
All of Congress takes an oath to uphold the Constitution and laws of the USA. But for some reason, we have to negotiate levels of "acceptable" illegal border crossing behavior because Democrats and some Republicans with their hands in the pockets of the US Chamber of Commerce support this illegal behavior.

Research current immigration laws regarding refugee, defensive asylum & removal

Being able to apply for asylum after unauthorized crossing seems to be the catch. What is often referred to as illegal apparently is not really illegal _ or at least not illegal until an immigration judge makes a ruling on asylum status.
Making the asylum process 100% proactive prior to entry seems reasonable. Anything less justifies removal. The proactive process would have limits.

immigration. It allows for a certain about of illegal immigration before we try to slow it down. That number should be ZERO.
