What's the difference between the SEC and the ACC in football?

Nov 29, 2015, 10:18 PM

The SEC begins the regular season with 3 teams in the top ten; the ACC finishes it with 3 in the top ten.

Lol...Auburn.

We have more teams and have to share a smaller pie piece.

Uhhhh

Don't we both have 14?

The ACC has Clemson and FSU spending the money to have the facilities and coaches to compete regularly at the national level.
The SEC has at least 6 programs spending that type money on their football program.

I'm beginning to question your allegiance Reynolds.

The ACC has FSU, Clemson, VT, UNC, and Louisville who have all begun to invest into their teams. More teams are going to invest in football this off season in regards to coaches.

Picture this Clemson-Dabo Swinney
FSU-fisher
Miami-Richt
VT-Fuentes and Foster
Louisville-Petrino
UNC-Fedora
NC St- Doereon
Duke-Cutcliff

That's 8 #### good coaches in the ACC, something I've never seen in this conference before. I fully expect the ACC to have a meteoric rise.

Also I hope UVA hires Jeff Brohm from western Kentucky.

The SEC has a media giant that has a vested interest in it's success.

1. The SEC won a bunch of championships in a row (before the ACC and B1G spoiled their party).
2. SEC teams are most likely to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to succeed on the gridiron (a net positive IMO).
3. SEC schools have a bunch of gameday experiences that resemble what you guys enjoy in Death Valley; there are others of us in this league trying to get there, but we've still got a ways to go...
