I don't know of many but on the top of my head I would say Catanzaro but I know there probably has been better. I'm sure some of you guys have a better memory than me and have a good list

Straight out of Benedictine in Savanah,Georgia. He was a funny guy who was really laid back and could put a punt into low earth orbit. I don't remember much else about him, but his humor was dry and quick!

He had no d1 offers. He was so quick. I would rate him #3 in the middle behind William Perry and Grady Jarrett. I have followed the Tigers since the seventies. I don't think any position player is close to him. He was a dominant player.

He still has an opportunity to be one of the best. He just has to hold on to that ball so the coaches can trust him

Tommy Sharp (center) originally a walk-on?
Catanzaro certainly has far exceeded ANYONE'S initial expectations. He's been a credit to the university and Tiger football.

Removing kickers(Iguebeke and Ariri) it may be

Will Merritt. Merritt grew up in S.C. but moved to North Dakota. He went under the radar and was lightly recruited. He walked on at Clemson and was quickly awarded a scholly and started 3 years for Bowden.

stories mixed up. Bodine was a walk on that started for three years, as was Merritt.
Merritt was on the Oline while Bodine started on the DLine.

pretty sure merritt came in as a 'ship player, not a w/o. there were complaints (imagine tha0 becasue some folks thought the ship was done as a favor to his family.

I'm going to go with Phillip Priced because ...

... his absence from the critical LT spot toward the end of his senior season was absolutely devastating to our offensive efficiency. We literally could not function when Price couldn't play at 100% that year.
It may have been because he became so good at the job, or it may have been because we were just so thin in depth at the position that year, but ... to me, no other walk-on in Clemson history has had that sort of overall impact on the team.
Rob Bodine was certainly a similar contributor, but we had a lot more good players on the team when he was here.

Danny and Dabo.... I know you were intending to focus on players, but both of those guys were "walk-on" coaches and both have done us well. Dabo keeps impressing me.
