Why can't Dabo and Co. understand the concept of

time of possession. I can promise you we will never, and I assure you never get anywhere with our program until we learn to appreciate TOP. We can't have 25 to 35% TOP and expect to win against quality opponents.
But yet, we think this flashy, sexy offense is going to get it done. It never will. We get great skill guys, but continue to struggle on the line. Until we learn how to control the football on offense we will never take the next step, and I don't think Morris can have at 12 play drive that keeps our D off the field.

substantial time of possession advantage against Florida State.
How did that work out for them?
62-7, 54-6, 80-14
What would the scores have been if those teams could have had an even greater time of possession margin??
Honestly, time of possession may be the least important statistic of all.

Morris came to Clemson to run this giddyup offense. Excellent personnel for it but it does seem like they would have done better running RM between the tackles. Interesting to see how Morris deals with a Alabama defense that simply hurts people (in the upcoming OB). Going to need ball control to stay in that one.

You need to find some new cliche's, those don't apply anymore.

When's the last time we won 10 back to back to back?

Yeah, that's what I thought. USuC has a good team. Deal with it. That doesn't mean that we're not. Any given Saturday...

I'm not sure what your talking about when you say that Usuc has a good team. They lost to two other mediocre SEC teams (Georgia & Tenn). Of their ten wins, 6 of the teams they beat had a combined record of 29-43, even if you add Mizzou and CU back into the mix, 8 of their tens wins were against a combined record of 50-46. I also notice that they dodge the best three teams from the west on their schedule this year. Please re-check your stats.

Bad teams don't get 10 wins 3 years in a row

Take off the orange glasses bro. I'm not saying that they're elite. Just saying that they have a good team that finds a way to win. That said, I think we were the better overall team this year and if we don't turn the ball over we win that one easily. However, we did turn the ball over and you can't say all of it was luck on their part.

It is good to read a post by someone else who sees through the "fun & gun" Morris offense. I am not pleased with the fact that we never line up in the I-formation and just pound it down peoples throats. People keep asking me why Gurley and Marshall didn't want to come to Clemson. I've told them all that Morris's offense is not the kind of offense that favors great running backs like them. It's too pass happy. I, for one, am ready for him to get a Head job somewhere else. I say good riddance.

That is all that Danny Ford wanted out of his offense according to an interview a few years ago and it got things done.
