What will mark a successful football season this year?

My guess is that opinions vary greatly on this board about what would be considered successful for the 2024 Tigers. A few options might include: 1) Go undefeated and win the national championship. 2) Make the CFP 3) Win the ACC 4) Make the ACC championship game 5) Beat the Coots 6) Go out there and try hard and enjoy and not have expectations on wins/losses.
What say ye? I tend to land at 3 and 6.

It always starts with 1. Beat the chickens 2. Win the ACC

Some of you would rather have #5 than #1 if number 1 came with a 1 loss to the chickens.

If I was given an option of clemson going 1-11 for the next 50 years and beating the chickens every year OR going 11-1 and losing to them every year, I'm taking option 1 every single time.

The next step to improve over last year would be to get to the ACCCG.
I think as long as we improve year over year; that defines success.

Win the ACC. Everything else will take care of itself from there.

Successful in my eyes is winning the conference and getting in the playoffs. Success also means beating the chickens. I don't expect us to beat UGA to start the year (we still have no O-Line, after all). And I don't expect us to win a natty (probably over UGA).

10 win regular season, win the conference, win the state.
Would be very happy with more - CFP finals and, of course, a natty, but gotta be realistic

Each year there is only one completely successful program in the entire United States. Everyone else tries to spin their lack of success into something better than it is. Not that a team can't feel good about almost being successful. Getting very close to complete success is nothing to hang your head over.
