Does the Offense Going "Flat" Impact the Defense?

Oct 16, 2022, 7:47 PM

It may just be me but the offense goes into these dead/flat periods and the repeated 3 and outs and not burning time keeps the D on the field a lot. Of course, the opposing defenses are going to adjust but there has to be a counter punch after about two of those.

Well there was that 1st drive of the game ….

Great defenses are defined by tough situations… such as turnovers and very short fields. Hard to rationalize two 90 plus yard drives as adversity.

Well the defense stopped 2 of 3 FSU 4th down attempts and the punt return team stopped another. If you're satisfied with the offense stalling for basically a quarter and half, thats fine but I would like to see a complete game and if they score on the last play of the game that's fine too. A team is defined as total effort.

It’s weird that you asked a question then attacked the person who answered it for you with a rant unrelated to the question
