Walt Daptula. Not trying to beat an old horse to death, but today I

Had a 4:00 appointment. As I pulled in to the parking lot right at 4:00 Walt began his rating of the 16 ACC Qiarterbacks for this coming season. He began with #16…the Syracuse QB. I got back in my car at 5:30 ( 1 1/2 hour later) and he was getting to announce #12. Between commercial breaks and talking to Ramona about his car problems and a dead deer, how many minutes do you think he actually talks about sports?

Lmao all of them are like that...out of an our there may be 20 minutes of real content. I get they need to bay bills, but it's getting ridiculous.

Walt bloviating like that is to let everyone know how smart he is. He is a huge narcissist. Sometimes you can cull some good information, but it's hard to listen through all the 'how great thou are' crap.

Don't listen to Walt until Football heats up, but enjoy his discourse.

Today he was explaining how he knows how to fix DJ throwing motion. Assuming wccp must pay him millions for him stay there rather be a QB coach or a gm of nfl team.

Pretty common on his show with his lists

Takes forever with the ads and sidetracks. He often repeats the last thing on the list after breaks to slow it down even more

Simple answer is don't listen to his dribble. I don't and have not missed anything. I just listen/read Tiger Net and stay ahead of the game.

Dark Territory is coming up. The shows will get worse as they always do.

Having been a TigerNet participant for many years, I know from the calendar that Dark Territory is just a few weeks away. The time when school is out and all Clemson sports seasons are over. The time when there just isn't much to talk or post about that is interesting or captive for Tiger sports discussion.

When the radio talk shows and Clemson sports websites start having to dig for news and it's just May 1st, it's time to listen to some good music or go fishing or golfing or to the beach.

Rest assured that our Clemson coaches will still be preparing for their upcoming season as we, the fans, can take a break and enjoy a few other hobbies until Football practice begins in August. Enjoy Dark Territory...there is light at the end.

Get XM radio and listen to Classic Rock. Listening to people who get paid to talk is worthless.

Well, he could be discussing WNBA....

Hockey, NBA, ephing Soccer or taking a deep dive into college baseball. I don't mind a little NBA talk but I couldn't give AF about the rest I mentioned; so I'm thankful he's at least on a topic of interest-

I had never listened. Don't live in the upstate but I was in town a couple of weeks ago and he spent the opening 30 minutes talking about Ramona killing a fly in the studio. Never talked sports.
