They actually think LJ can beat the #1 D in the land by him self. You see the big Difference between LJ and DW is Watson had studs all over the field. Jackson does not , and it's going to be a very quiet game day atmosphere about 10 mins into the game.

I agree. People seem to forget the defense was really too much for UL last year. The only thing that kept them in the game was us having 5 turnovers. This year's defense is nasty & UL has lost way too much on both sides of the ball. LJ is in for a beating

Our offense gained more than you - 580 - plus - yards last season, lol. But your version of history is just better, ha ha. Who else did you give up 600 yards to last year?
Your defense had better be better than it was or it will be a long evening.

Our defense is better than last year. You seem pretty confident, but last I checked, Lamar doesn't play defense. You will need more than one guy to beat this team, you can bank on it

Add to the narrative that UL lost their best receivers from last year and has an even more porous O line. They gained yardage from 5 additional possessions via turnovers and still lost.

You need to do your homework. Clemson isn't the only one that reloads. We are just fine at receiver, and actually better this season. Our freshman receiver is 5th in the FBS for most catches of 20+ yards (5), as well as 6th in the FBS with 3 touchdown catches in his first two games. We also have a receiver 3rd in the nation in receiving yards per game at 150. And the line has only given up two sacks, which is a big improvement from last year, so to say it's more porous means you really don't know anything about us.
And apparently they are not teaching math at that esteemed university of yours, since we too had turnovers, three to be exact, which means we netted TWO additional possessions, but again, whatever narrative makes you feel better.

You realize that Lamar was only a 3 star recruit, right? Stars are great right up until you step on the field. FSU has been recruiting at a higher level than both Clemson and UofL, and you saw what happened in our game with them last year. This game will be much closer than Clemson fans want to admit, but after the last three years, you'd think you would expect a close game. That's okay, respect is earned, and it's coming.

Where have I been disrespectful? I don't call names, and I don't make outrageous claims. I have been on here educating Clemson fans that apparently don't know a lot about this year's UofL team.
Clemson fans should be a little more nervous about this game then many indicate. Just as it was in DV last year, Louisville fans LOVE night games, so it will be electric in Cardinal Stadium come Saturday night. It's going to be a different environment for Bryant, and a big test to see how he handles playing on the road. There is no reason to think this game, just like the last three, will not come down to making plays in the 4th quarter. Should be a great game for the nation to watch.

I'm confused. How come the Mighty Clemsin's did not massacre our pathetic 3 star studs time and time again the last 3 seasons? Have you guys been sandbagging us all this time?
Interesting narrative, lol.

You want math:
Ours had more impact than yours BY FAR....
http://www.espn.com/college-football/playbyplay?gameId=400869453 Louisville vs. Clemson - Play-By-Play - October 1, 2016 - ESPN Get play-by-play updates on the Louisville Cardinals vs. Clemson Tigers football game.
First half...total impact 14 points Clemson Clemson Intercepted...Louisville Fumble...Clemson TD Louisville Intercepted...Clemson Fumble...Louisville Fumble...Clemson TD
^both on back and forth turnover exchanges, not direct scores after a single turnover HALFTIME SCORE 28-10 Clemson
2nd half: total impact 23 points Louisville (first extra point missed) First drive... Clemson Intercepted...Louisville TD (+6) Clemson Fumble...Louisville TD (+7) Clemson Fumble...Louisville FG (+3) Clemson Intercepted...Louisville TD (+7)
That's 10 more points Louisville got just off the turnover and subsequent scores....all in the second half, all directly after a turnover.
So out of Louisville's 36 total points...10 points were scored in the first half, 26 in the second half...and 23 of those 26 were directly after a turnover. So who's exactly lying??

*That's 9 more points....
Oh, and let's also point out all 3 of them happened after Clemson crossed the 50 yard line...one 23 yards from the endzone. Another was the first play coming out of the half, setting up Louisville with a 36 yard drive....that fed the momentum back to Louisville. Again, that interception doesn't happen, Clemson drives down and scores putting the game 35-10, Louisville wouldn't have ever been in the game.

First its ridiculous to think we had nothing to do with the 5 TOs you committed last year. Second you fail to mention that there was actually 8 TOs last year. Those three we gave you I guess dont matter.
Pretty sure Lamar will have more Total yds than Stitham + likely 350, your guys bench mark for your defense. It will be a good game you are national champions.
Many of your posters irrational exuberance is hilarious though!!!

Dude, 23 of your 36 points came directly of drives from turnovers in the 2nd half. First half, that offense wad held to 10 punts. ..guess you forgot that. Ray Ray doesn't turn the ball over in the half ti give your team momentum, Clemson puts the game away 35-10, in the first 3 minutes of the 3rd quarter, Venables doesn't adjust his D that kept staying on the field from the turnovers, and you lose worse that any other game.

have a good bit of offense and Jackson is most definitely a concern. I love our defense and if we win they will likely be a huge part of it, but I don't feel comfortable saying they're going to shut down Louisville's offense.

look at a post above....you'll see it laid out with the ESPN play by play. They had offense...after Clemson handed them the ball with turnovers (one inside the Louisville 40, one inside the Louisville 25) instead of scoring. The momentum that created for Louisville is severely being underplayed.

did get 600 yards (!). They also drove the field with the game on the line and if not for a great defensive play very well could have won the game. Point is, they did well against us offenively and LJ is a serious threat. If they win, it will be because of plays made by Jackson.

Again, momentum from turnovers. You ate downplaying the confidence that brought back in a frustrated Jackson who was held to 10 first half.

Don't forget, Jackson prior to that game was used to having 20-30+ points by halftime....being held to 10 had him frustrated. If Clemson came out at the half (which was Clemson ball), and not turned the ball over in Clemson territory setting Louisville to score to make the game 28-17, they likely would have scored and put the game 35-10...that puts momentum clear in Clemson's hands, and makes Louisville's game much much harder, score wise and mentally. Clemson would have rolled, much like LSU and Houston did. But turnovers happened, momentum swung, confidence came back in jackson, and he came back alive while Venables' D stayed on the field and he made wrong adjustments in schemes. Turned momentum going one way completely in a 180.

When you continually give the ball to the other team with quick turnovers and your D has no chance to rest, this will happen. ULnran 99 plays against us. That is the recipe we have used the past 2+ years to beat others. The only difference is we handed it to them with turnovers, while Clemson usually does it without that benefit.
To win this game, Clemson needs to sustain drives (by any means, run or throw) and not turn the ball over. If we do those two things, we will win and it won't be close. If we fail at either of those we could lose. It seems simple to me.

Will do, inflate the cards offense as you got at least 15 additional plays from it. Clemson plays clean they are impossible to beat. Jackson is NFL is 1st round material but so are at least 5 Tigers. Also black outs are the they.

We keep talking about how we had 5 turnovers as if Lville had none. They had three themselves.
My optimism is that I think BV does a great job setting up defense against opponents he has already faced. Hopefully he will figure out how to limit LJ.

Go look at my post above....it'll bring the turnovers into context better. Both teams had them, yes...one team's cost much more on the scoreboard than the other's...2 possessions worth of difference, and 88% of one team's points scored in the second half....vs 50% in the first half of the other.

Clemson spotted you five turnovers last year, otherwise you get blown out by at least three touchdowns.
You just better hope the same Lewisville team that showed-up last year against Kentucky, Houston and LSU doesn't show-up on Saturday or it will be a long evening for you.

Hey there Card fan... thanks for identifying yourself.
-Lamar Jackson gained 2/3 of those yards by himself. He's legit quick and what I'm most impressed by is his 4th quarter endurance, when he usually puts teams away after they've forgotten how quick he is. Teams that are unbalanced get exposed. Your star helps and hurts you. Just like your highlighted QB being the key to your game, identifying yourself it only makes it easier for us to target you.
I will break down your offense: -40% (Quick Slants, Out routes, passes to the flat) and an occasional deep ball 5-10%. -QB runs makes up 45% of your offense, most of his runs he tries are in the 4th quarter. ****** -Look at your past marquee games if you doubt this formula: 16' FSU & CLEMSON, then compare it to the two openers... Basically, without him you'd be SOL. -Then, look at your game with WAKE FOREST last year hahaha (We'll most likely watch this game in prep.)
If you think the Clemson D won't be dialed up by our Defensive guru, then prepare for a long game yourself. Louisville this season hasn't seen: - a almost NFL ready D line, an experienced couple of LBs or the rest of lock down secondary like ours.
Lamar: (Yes, he's looked good in the past two games, but they've been close games... and ALL of our Louisville vs. Clemson games have been close and we don't doubt you're a good team, esp. with your playmaker... but) -He can't do it alone and he just lost his RB for the season. -His improved throwing will be challenged agains our DBs/LBs -He's quick, but he might just slow down after he feels a hit our two or three or four... or more?
We know the name of the game is cut the head off your snake and let the rest die. Better believe LAVAR will have to scramble more this game. If he tries to do it alone, then it will make this "Black Out" game all the more appropriate, b/c you're walking into a funeral.
Will the game be close? Most likely. Will it be loud? Yes, I imagine your team will have a nice home field advantage... at first.
Lastly, a frequent saying from some fans of your team is "You don't want these cards, you don't want these cards...." And I can very much assure you we really want these cards, we definitely want these cards (to lose at home again).
We'll bring our A-game. You bring Lavar (soon to be) Smackedson and let's spot the ball and see who wins.

Your offense had:
568 yards compared to our 507. 37:29 time of possession to our 22:31. 3 turnovers to our 5. 31 first downs to our 26.
And we still beat you.

This years Clemson defense is supposedly "nasty" as you say. But Auburn's offense is not nearly as good as Louisville's. Just look at last years total offense avg per game for reference.
So yeah, your defense looks like world beaters, but the numbers are padded by Kent State (yawwnnnnnnnnnnn), and a subpar Auburn offense. And need I remind you, your 5 turnovers were helped by the opponent you was playing. Just saying
Louisville is a different beast.

...Ga Tech...Va Tech...blah blah blah. Can they beat you on a good day? Of course, all are and can be very dangerous. Are they going to beat Clemson if Clemson plays mostly error free? No.
I hate to break it to you, but your boy Lamar was fully figured out by mid-season last year. He will be contained and frustrated and that will be that.

You do realize they return like 8 or 9 starters on the D right? That said it did not look like a good thing their first 2 games lol.

Will Clemson bring their chain crew? I want a chain gang that will move the marker around presnap, and I also want said crew to celebrate like a bunch of High school kids after a big fourth down spot. Just like in high school.

Just be merciful to us city dwellers. We don't have buses that ride around campus before the game, we don't possess any fancy rocks, or a cool hill to run down. We also don't have zitfaced 19 year olds running the chains.

Why stop there? You also don't have championships, an ethical coach, knowledgable fans..... I could go on and on. One thing you do have: Tons if excuses. What will it be this year?

Well, you can vouch for them. Also, they are in their 40's and HS refs, that should eliminate any possibility of any funny stuff going on with those markers and chains.

That "zit face 19 year old" sure looks like he should be retired somewhere.
And I guess ESPN must be in on the conspiracy since their 1st down line matches where the officials placed theirs on both sidelines?

Methinks your WR was as smart as you and didnt realize he needed to actually look at where he was going. People make mistakes, you're life will be much less stressful when you accept this.
Good thing for us, we are taught and prepared to make less mistakes than you, which is why you are 0-3 against us.

His a$$ was knocked out of bounds . A misplaced yard marker had nothing to do with it. Had he not been wanting to hotdog it and go for the TD, he would have gotten the first down, had he turned straight up field after catching the ball.

When you need a marker to count to 12, you should already be worried. 4th & 12...if you know the line you start on, you know where the 1st down is. But let's be straight up honest.....are you really going to sit there and say that Quick wasn't going for the endzone just a few more yards up?? He didn't need to know where the first down marker was regardless...his goal he was aiming for that close was the endzone. Period. He got ran sideways and knocked out of bounds just shy of the first down marker by Marcus Edmond. Get out of here with that BS. That excuse works further up the field...that close to the endzone...absolute nothing but an excuse.

The 1st down marker thing has to be the dumbest excuse I've ever heard in my life. IF your player was too stupid to know where he had to get to before the play then that's on him. Also, he was very obviously knocked out of bounds by the defender, so what difference does it make? You're telling me he could have gotten another yard, but decided to give himself up there because he didn't know where he had to get to? He was less than 5 yards away from the endzone with only one defender standing in front of him. If he could have gotten around the defender in order to gain another yard then why not do so and score the winning touchdown? Again though, any idiot could see that he was forced out of bounds by the defender who clearly knocked him out of bounds.

We've played you close three years in a row, and you guess still think we suck. You obviously don't know the first thing about us still, but after Saturday, you'll know a little more. Keep thinking we are a one-man team. See how that works out for you.

And yet you've lost all three of those games, including the game where Watson got hurt early in the 1st quarter, and last years game where we beat you even after turning the ball over 5 times. Thanks a lot though for being 0-2 against the SEC during your last two games last season while the rest of the ACC went 6-0 against them.

You had 705 total yards. Not offensive yards, TOTAL yards, that includes kickoff and punt returns.
Lavar Jackson had 525 of those yards.
You are a one man team.
