Each to their own, but to pay to go and see a practice with same team players practicing against each other, I would have to be really hard up to find something to do unless, I lived right there in Clemson!!!! Also, to charge a fan base to watch a practice is sad when the fan base has suffered from the pandemic financially in some way, and the lowest paid on the field coaches making $300,000 plus, with 3 of them making in the millions!!!
With as bad as my back problems has gotten over the years, I'm pretty sure that I'll never watch another game from the inside of DV, but when I was able to go, I can assure anyone that I have spent $25 to $30 thousand in tickets, travel, and tailgating over the years of going, and being a Clemson fan in the stands...
My concerns of paying to see the spring game isn't a concern for myself at all bc, I know that I can't be there with my health condition. It's the fans that show their loyalty to our team as I had done for many years. My concerns are for those loyal fans that are willing to wear a mask inside DV that hasn't had their covid vaccinations, and for the fans that has had their covid vaccination that just want to see our teams last practice until fall FB, and I personally believe/feel that it's wrong for those having to pay to watch a practice that will get terrible after our better players has had a series or two, then help with coaching the young guys. IMO, fans paying for what has always been free until now is just wrong. Personally as a fan that has attended many FB games in my 59 years as a Clemson fan, I've only attended Two spring games, and I've never had to pay for attendance at those two spring games!!!

I could be wrong, but I assume that they are charging a nominal fee, only $10, so you don't get a bunch of yahoos and/or coots reserving tickets for free and not showing up. There is limited seating so I think it makes sense.

The seats backs do not pay for themselves. From what I remember , the spring game has always been free to IPTAY members. The ten dollar fee is a bargain for non IPTAY members.

Donors tickets are free. They’ve never charged before so why start now? Doesn’t sound or look right to me. I’m sure ticket prices will be raised. Then I’m sure parking and concessions will follow. There’s a difference making money and greed.

Plus, Clemson is having to pay all those salaries despite a big decline in revenue last year. I don't see it as greed but trying to make up for lost revenue, in addition to the point about weeding out fake ticket requests.

Personally, I prefer the Spring Game over the non conference games. I’m sure others do too.

Oh well, anxious to see the amount of fans who just kind of get fed up with it all and start watching from home. There have been numerous articles written in various publications that have gone over the numbers in respect to declining attendance in college and pro sports. And I’ll admit , I thought it was crazy as I used to would never miss a game, home or away.
Show up at game 3 hours before kickoff, go through turnstiles that will check your temperature, COVID Vaccination certification, proper mask, ticket, and whether you are carrying in any “illegal” Pepsi’s, M@M’s , weapons of wars , climate killing balloons etc. etc.
Yet they still let people sit in the stands and Wooo Hooo.
My guess is there will be no Fan Appreciation day , fans on the field after the game, or halftime exits allowed .
Again, not complaining as I’m not going to lose sleep over it, just making observations.

It would seem wise in the interest of "Fan Appreciation" that they at least stream the game.

We keep calling it a game, it is a practice with game like conditions, and charging to see it, is ridiculous IMO!!!

I was never big on away games being that my first away game was at UGA, and that was very close to not ending well. Home games, and ACC championship game was what I attended, and if I were offered a million bucks today to tell how many home games that I've been to, I would walk away without that million, bc I couldn't guess that number!!!
