I've had this thought a few months ago.
Our defense was at its best five years ago ... because our offense was at its best.
Want to know why we gave up so many big yards in the passing game? We didn't have a first or second team O that could stretch the field in practice.
Spot the ball!!!

Not sure how; but we have to find a way to get Mickens on the field more often. JP and Makuba are your starters - but Mickens makes big plays when he's in the lineup. We have some very talented players behind these folks as well.
Maybe if we get teams in 3rd and long we have all three on the field.
Love our depth at Safety!

Great to hear that from our defense! I’ve heard enough about the other ACC QB’s. If Cade out plays them, this will be a special season and the narrative will soon change.

Even tho we already knew, that says all you need to know about the DJ/Streeter combo the last couple years.

It is truly refreshing to see/hear virtually everyone is now on board thinking or knowing that DJ and Streeter harmed more than the offensive production of our beloved Tigers. That crap spilled over onto the defense in more than one way. The obvious: 3 and out after 3 and out wore down our defense. This lack of production translated to a low scoring offense. The not so obvious: low morale for the team as a whole. Lack of preparation for the defense due to not being challenged in practice. Although name calling (my rebranding of "big Stinko" as my contribution to his NIL) was a bit rude, I was on point. My points and percentage paid the price for that. But the resistance to my opinions/facts was relentless. To the point of some saying, or inferring, to think that way was some sort of racist commenting. Shame on you naysayers for that. All I wanted, and still want, is for the best 22 to play. Spot the ball and let's get to it, for that was yesterday, and yesterday is gone.

Don't worry about it - it'll all return to normal with your pulse. The same thing happened to me shortly after I started posting on Tnet and was the first to say we should quit recruiting Nkemdiche. I think my pulse went to about 29 before some folks realized what was going on with that guy's family.
Just speak your mind about things as you see them... If you're being thoughtful and honest, it'll all come out OK.

The talent was there physically and DJ had put in the work in the film room, the hope was that the light would pop on and stay on but it didn’t ever come together like it could. DJ would be the best QB in the nation if he could put his knowledge & physical talents together with the freedom just play as a competitor.
His overthinking everything will never work at this level or the next.

Offense and poor coaching cost us that game. Sure the secondary wasn't great but leaving in DJ and trying trick plays killed us.
