tiger fans, question about beasley

Nov 17, 2012, 8:39 PM

i go to all the carolina games so dont get to see your team as much as i would like. noticed listening to dabo on the radio after the game that he said beasley probably leads acc in sacks per play. few questions. does beasley mostly play passing downs only? speed rush guy or has some power? where does he usually line up?

thanks for any answers.

Yes, he is a pure pass rusher. He is undersized, I think he's only like 230 but he probably runs a 4.5, he was a great athlete in high school and he still is a freak athlete. He is just too small to keep him in there on every play, but he had 3 sacks today and he probably has like 7 on the season but I think he plays way less than 50% of the snaps.

He is a small DE, only about 225, but very aggressive. He splits time with Crawford. I think the goal is to add 20-25 lbs on him, but he is good enough that he needs to be on the field 20 plays a game, even now.

Yes, he plays obvious passing situations. Especially when we geta big lead and the other team abandons the running game.

Only about 225 lbs... 10 - 15 more lbs and he's our next 1st round draft pick off the DL. Very explosive.

hmm, this concerns me greatly, given that eofford had 225lb guys getting to shaw who are probably much less explosive than beasley.
