Dabo between a rock and a hard place. Sammy.

Most coaches hunt amd peck which games a player will be suspended. Others say first two, or three games.
Auburn is our first game. We need Sammy!
Here are my thoughts:
If we let him play against Auburn the coots are going to say we are doing exactly what we accuse Spurrier of doing. If he is suspended for the Auburn game it will show that Dabo is a man above this.
What to do? Personally, being a 69 year old CU grad, I say let him play against Auburn!

what coots "think" means less than nothing.

More importantly, it's what other Clemson players, recruits and parents think. If they think we're no better than Sleezy Convict U., then we will have lost a lot.

Dabo will sit him the Auburn game. Win and lose as a team..he will send the message and no one player is above another. He will not follow the "Garcia" rule

You are right. We have had few problems because Dabo is not going to Spurrierize the situation. I hope this team is bigger than one player. We beat Auburn and then we welcome back a more focused Sammy in game 3 or 4.

Don;t worry. He'll be on the same suspension plan as DeAndre McDaniel.

there are more important things to life than winning a football game. What's right is right and what's wrong is wrong.
If Dabo is going to suspend him, it should start with the Auburn game. If we lose the game(s) without him, then so be it. If we're a championship team, the absence of one player will not prevent us from winning.

many games because it's the right thing to do. Decisions have consequences, good and bad. Bad decisions don't just affect the person but those around the person.

I don't think that Dabo, with his family oriented atmosphere, will allow any laws or any rules to be broken without consequences. He sent Bellamy home from the ACC championship and the bowl game for "violating team rules". There can't be a double standard regardless of how important a player is to the team. If we can't beat Auburn without Sammy, we don't deserve a NC anyway.

69 and you still care what coots think or want?

How has caring what a coot thinks ever added or taken away from Clemson?
Don't worry about Dabo. Integrity was his most outstanding quality when we hired him.

simply going to take his time, look at the facts, study the circumstances, and go from there with what his instincts and heart tell him to do considering what's best for both Sammy and the team in the grand scheme of things.
There's summer workouts, fall camp, and subsequent games to come. In other words, there's a long time between what happened Thursday night and our first game of the upcoming season, as well as a long line of precedence laid before him to help guide his judgment on this.

Who care what some adult adolescents on a forum think?
Do what is best for Sammy. I sure Dabo will. I would suspect a discussion about a fork in the road and two choices. Sammy already knows where one choice leads: doing the right thing leads to playing time, being a hero and fulfilling dreams. I imagine Dabo will give him a taste of where the other choice leads: no team, sitting on a bench (at best) and no dreams fulfilled. I would hold him out of the Auburn game and let his teammates enjoy the win with him looking in from the outside, because that is exactly where he would be headed if he were to continue to make poor choices.
If played well, this will be the best thing that ever happened to him. Lord knows a similar, painful situation in my life gave me a clearer understanding of where I wanted to go and where I didn't want to go… and here I am, where I wanted to go.
