Do you really think we took our foot off the gas?

Sep 23, 2016, 8:46 AM

Negatives.....

1. The O-line has to play more physical

2. Watson can't continue to miss wide open deep routes

3. The play calling needs to be more like the first drive

4. Field goal kicking is still a problem

5. Have to play faster

Positives.....

1. Ray Ray

2. Finally getting Jordan involved

3. We are very deep at running back

I'm very happy with a win. I'm less concerned about the amount of points we scored and more concerned with how we still look and the mistakes we are making on offense. These cannot continue if we want to be in the playoffs again.

I have faith we will play better....huge plus that we will be in Death Valley.

Yes. They quit using tempo and went run-heavy

to bleed the clock. Run heavy so much, in the 4th quarter, GT was sending 9 guys to the line...literally. They had their 4 D Linemen, with 3 lined up behind them, and just before Watson would snap the ball, 2 DB's would start running forward toward the line.

^This. One thing about that though:

We did exactly what Tigerman1978 said, by design. Still, execution on offense was poor at times and while we slowed it down intentionally, the failure to sustain anything for much of the second half was disappointing.

Yep. Really wish we would start waiting until the 4th quarter to cruise instead of the whole second half. Hard to turn it back on late in the 4th when we need to.

Yes...

Much like the Auburn game earlier in the season. Comfortable lead early, cruise in the 2nd half. Other than style points or pride, there was absolutely no reason to do more in the 2nd half than was done last night. I think we all would have liked to see 2-3 more TDs scored but with the way the D was playing, there was never a threat of losing that game. By Monday morning, no one will care how the second half went down other than 4-0 for the Good Guys and 3-1 for the Busy Bees.

We won last year 43-24 and look where we ended up. Same margin of victory this year, in their house. I don't really see a problem with our results last night.

He missed a pass to Overton late but what other wide open deep route did he miss? He got hit on the ball to Scott.
