"They aren't ready for the dome - the heat in the dome"
Hello...Clemson is in the South and routinely practices in 100+ degree heat. Apparently they missed last years Peach Fil-A Bowl which is played in...you guessed it...a dome.
"They will get tired"
A team that runs an up-tempo HUNH offense that is capable of running 85 to 90+ plays per game does not get tired.
"The fans are screaming on third down and the keys jingling - they aren't used to that"
You're right, they aren't. They are more assustomed to playing in front of 85,000+ screaming fans who do not need artificial noise makers

I'm an engineer/designer for a construction company in Charleston, but am from the upstate (Powdersville, to be exact). I had a meeting with a couple from NY that were building a home on Kiawah, and during our meeting, they asked where I was from. I told them "the upstate" and they laughed and said "no way - not with that accent". I explained that I meant the upstate of South Carolina and they laughed even more and told me "everyone knows 'The Upstate' refers to upstate New York". I tried to tell them, "No, here in SC, 'The Upstate' means upstate, SC". They kind of giggled and said "never heard of it." A year later, I've had 10+ coworkers that have met them all say that couple asks all of them if that "boy from the upstate" still works there - followed by more laughing...

Well, if they weren't clients for the company I work for, building a home on Kiawah, I'm sure I could have come up with another name for upstate New York - and the people from there.

and routinely participated in pre-season workouts, at the same time the football team was going through its preseason camp, when the heat index increased temperatures to well in excess of 100 degrees. It wasn't that uncommon at all.

My favorite was the ACCCG against VT in 2011. VT's fans do the same key-jingling gimmick on third downs. We kindly reminded them not to forget their keys as they filed out of the stadium early in the 4th quarter.

Playing in the Carrier Dome is going to be way harder than playing in Auburn, Tallahassee, Columbia, or Athens. I'm sure they're terrified.

This was sarcasm incase nobody picked up on that... The Carrier Dome is a joke compared to any big time football stadium. I'd be more intimidated playing Vanderbilt.

Even though we have had no really hot days this summer here in Clemson, we will not be bothered by the heat, noise or dome. Keys should only be jingled when trying to get Marvin Key put in a basketball game.

especially if Clemson jumps out a large lead and/or there are plenty of short SU drives on offense, but there have been plenty of teams from the south that are used to the heat that have had cramping problems in the Dome. SU has never had problems going south and playing in warm weather (we practice outside in August where it can actually be warmer/more humid than in the south at times). Its a different kind of heat and humidity in the Dome that causes problems. Teams don't realize until they play here on a fairly warm day. Many already know about it though and take precautions. But you can't compare playing outside in the heat to the heat and humidity in the Carrier Dome, its just different.
Again it will only come into play if its a close game later in the game. As a fan you can scoff at it but Tennessee, Miami, Auburn and Florida State just to name a couple of teams had problem here in close games. We did not have similar problems playing at their stadiums.
Not trying to stir trouble because we will have our hands full with your team, I think most SU fans realize this, but we've heard opposing fans say the same thing them watch their team have cramping issues.
