There's been a bomb threat on campus.

Apparently the Hendricks Center had a bomb threat called in today. I don't know much more than that because I just found out. Maybe they ran out of ice cream or blue cheese I don't know. Hopefully it is only a threat.

There was no bomb threat today but there was two a couple of weeks ago. Today they sent out an email to students saying they caught the woman responsible for both of them. That may be where the confusion is

I received an email from CUPD on my student email account

saying that they arrested the woman that called in the bomb threat today, I never received any emails about there being another threat today, but I did recieve emails about the threat on FEB 4.

Here's the email from today. This happened a few weeks ago.

"CUPD: Clemson University police charge woman with making bomb threats

Clemson University police charged a Seneca woman Tuesday in connection with two incidents that led to evacuations of Hendrix Student Center on campus.

Melissa Ann Griggs, 38, was charged with two felony counts of making a bomb threat. She was served with the warrants at the Oconee County Detention Center, where she is being held on similar charges in that county.

Police said the first incident occurred Jan. 30 when Hendrix Student Center was evacuated by staff members after a woman caller said she overheard someone say the word “bomb.”

On Feb. 4, a female caller told the Hendrix information desk that there was a bomb in the building.

Police searched the building both times and found nothing.
