The Real "Face Value" of a Louisville Ticket

Assumes lower end of seats (IPTAY purple or red). Purple requires a minimum donation of $120 and red requires $190 so I'm averaging the two to come up with $155.
IPTAY Donation: $155 Season Ticket Purchase: $340 Total: $495 Sales Value of 2 "crap games" = $40 ($20 each if you're lucky) Sales Value of 3 decent games = $180 ($60 each if you're lucky) Remaining = $275 True cost of Louisville and USCe tickets = $!38 each
This is on the low side and doesn't even approach the cost of a lower deck 40-50 yard line seat.
And this doesn't count the Tommy West years when I kept buying tickets and contributing to IPTAY so I could have these tickets.
I'm not about to give up my Louisville tickets unless I am on my death bed. But if that were to happen and I could get $150 or more for a ticket I'm also not about to feel the least bit guilty.

So by that logic since someone has to pay extra for your right to those seats does that mean they can have the right to any of you tickets whether you chose to sell them or not?

How many people bought ungodly tickets for notre dame before the weather came out? Two notre dame friends of mine bought 3 tickets lower deck on stub hub for 65 each right before kickoff.

if it hadn't rained those ND tickets would've been even more before kickoff (although the last hour or so prices tend to drop for any event)

I sold my two tickets for the FSU game a few years back and 300 a piece for them. I decided at the last minute I would be able to go so I showed up and waited till almost game time before I asked anyone for tickets. The team was running down the hill when I asked a guy how much and he said 20 bucks so I pulled out 40 and he said keep 20 you can have them both for 20. I know I was lucky and then by halftime I was so thankful because Fsu took us to the wood shed.

How? And from what site? The lowest I've seen a ticket on the 45 yard line on our side was $568 in the last row... unless you're upper deck?

I have 50 yard line tickets to every game. 10 feet from the field, 70" screen, instant replay at any time, $.75 beers, spotless bathroom to myself, brats and burgers at halftime. Oh, and all my friends get to join me for the same price. PLUS, if anybody gets drunk and obnoxious I can send them home. Also, I don't have to drive 300 miles round trip. What am I missing? GO TIGERS!!!!!

I get the convenience but there is not much I would rather do than watch my Tigers play in person. I love tailgating, Clemson fans and hearing the deafening crowd in person.
Hey, if you send home a drunk guy makes sure its with a designated driver or Uber - would hate for you to be forced to watch the Tigers play through prison bars.

You are missing so much, the beautiful campus, the friends that come with you and you meet tailgating before, fiend and after the game. The absolute joy of being in the stadium and participating in yelling for our team. I can't go because of my health and I can't climb the stands. I still give to IPTAY to help our student athletes and all IPTAY does for the university. It's magic

I'm with you sir, unfortunately I'm out of the country for the Louisville game. I got 600 for my tickets. Paid for the tickets on the year but not the 2400 iptay donation.
Also, I went you auburn and sc state and Troy and will be at GT and FSU as well as all the other home games. I also attended the natty last year and #### sure will from here to eternity when the tigers play in it.

Face Value is the price printed on the ticket. The price one receives for the ticket is the Pocket Value.

It's America. It happens every single day. If the tickets were yours and you wanted to seel them, you would do the same thing and chare way more than face value so you could make some money.
There's only one good home game this year, so of course all the people with a ticket to sale are going to overcharge for it
