They need to be accountable for their shoddy play. Crappy play calling and poor leadership is running rampant.
Riley claiming the cupboard is bare of talent is laughable. Compare TCU and SMU recruiting at those positions compared to us. I get that they haven’t performed, but there is no way that talent differential is greater than the results. Riley has not performed yet with arguably better overall talent

I'd say the cupboard has been pretty bare since Jeff Scott left for the Owls, he was our best recruiter and evaluator on offense. I mean we have missed on 6 of our last 8 receivers, badly.
We didn't miss on TJ Williams though, he will start next year as a true freshman. I am not sure about Wesco just yet, but he would be one of the better athletes on the team the day he steps on campus.

Evaluation or development? We were not the recruiting gurus who rated these WRs. I agree with youTigerbalm1®. Just stating on paper and other’s evaluations we are not bare

Evaluation for sure. Our best receiver on this roster is a 3 star fallback recruit that had no D1a offers.

free agents signed. 2 more camp invites. Most of that was from their offense. 4 WRs(2 Drafted), a couple of RBs(1 drafted) and a few OL in that group. Look at our guys, do we have that? Don’t pay attention to what they were ranked by recruiting services. It’s been obvious from day 1 some of these rankings were off on some of our O guys. Most not in a good way but Brown is one that is the exception.

In Riley's system, a smart, experienced QB is essential for making the right reads. Cade may be physically talented, but he has not the judgement required to make Riley's system really go. Perhaps that was what Riley was referring to.

Even if the ranking services were wrong on a few, we still have way more talent than some of the teams we’ve lost to and struggled with in the last few years.
The problem is coaching.
