The ball had been gone for 3+ seconds, you can't hit them at all that late. The QB did a nice job selling the "hit" but still, that was not even close and the end should have pulled up well beyond that point. Refs gonna throw a flag for anything at that point.

100% You don't call that at that point in the game. That's becoming a part of the game instead of letting it be about the players. It was incidental at best. His own OL pushed Reuben into him a bit it seemed like to me.

Just to be clear, I too think its a bad call, but the refs have been drilled relentlessly to protect the QB at all times. I'm just saying they're gonna call it, not that it isn't a dumb call.
