Speaking of cold weather games

Anybody remember that miserable game in Raleigh on NC State Fair Week in 1988? All I can remember is getting a cup of hot coffee and it being frozen by the time I got back to my seat. It was a pretty looking sunny day but it was VERY cold. And we lost--which was a real bummer.
The only other really cold game I can remember was the 1987 Coot game. Cold, cold, cold and . . . we lost.
The 1986 Gator Bowl against Stanford was cold but not as cold as the other 2 above. We won that one.
Can't wait for tomorrow despite the cold.
GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

being that cold.
Wasn't that the gane where the NC State crowd was yelling "Roooodddneey, Roooodddneey" err time he would overthrow a receiver?
BTW the coldest gane I can remember is the 1979 Peach Bowl vs Baylor at the old Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium.

chance to win that 88 NC State game on a pitch and run but 1 defender made the tackle and we ended up losing 10-3. In fact I think it was 3-3 going into the 4th.

before they started getting strict about the number of people in the student section. It must've been near double capacity because there was a row of ppl standing on the concrete and then a row standing on the bleachers everywhere that i could see.
Long story short, if it was cold that night I didn't notice because we were packed in like sardines.

kind of all run together, haha. My brother lived in the area at the time, and we went to game with some of his buddies (one was a MD grad). Ugly game, ugly loss, lots of beer, and lots of obnoxious turtle fans. Oh - and seats down low that were basically obstructed by the MD bench. Good times...

Coldest I've ever been at a game....

It sleeted and rained during the pre-game parade so we ended up sitting through a cold and windy game in wet clothes.

We played a game at Virginia where it was nice and Sunny... and seemed about 15 degrees with windchill. I think this was in 2008?

Temps were around freezing at kick off and the winds were 20 mph or so... definitely cold. Couple of flurries too.
