students who plead "having to study" as their excuse for missing the game, are in here taking part in extended threads on Tigernet defending why they missed the game to study.
Why aren't you studying now??
If we're ever going to have an effective home court advantage night in and night out, the students simply have to make their way over to the coliseum for games other than Duke and UNC etc.

Well lots of students, including me, have tests this week, so a tuesday basketball game against GT isn't what we are thinking about this week.

As an engineering student who attended all home basketball games while I was at Clemson...stop being the douchenozzle student who hogs up the Duke & UNC tickets if you're not going to these games.

all effing night. I'd even wager they don't even crack a book tonight, just wanted a cop out to not go to the game...which is pathetic.
If you're too busy because you have two tests tomorrow (50 minute classes on Wednesday...so a 40 minute "exam")...I don't need to hear that crap.
These idiots have no idea how much free time they really have...

But in my experience it isn't a matter of folks thinking you should put athletics above academics, but rather a question of the other priorities causing you to feel the need to cram for 2 hours on a game night.

I was at every game during the Shyatt ERA. If you can't get your crap done and go to the basketball game you need better time management skills. If you're on TigerNet you're not studying. Duke students manage to go to class and basketball games. AMAZING!

that education goes so much further if you have social skills and extra curricular activities.
Your nose stuck in a book all the time will not help you when interviewing, working with other people or any other aspect of the real world.
