CFB insider hints at 2 schools joining SEC post Big-12 and Big Ten poaching 5 Pac-12 schools
While other conferences have been adding teams, the SEC expansion front has been quiet. It already has two programs joining in 2024 in the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners from the Big 12.

I get what you are saying but Vanderbilt has never fielded a womens softball team. Only school in the SEC to not have one.

I believe we have been talking to the B10 and SEC for some time so this is not news. It is impossible to determine which would be the more likely landing spot.

I wasn't convinced before that the SEC really wanted us but I think the recent moves by B1G have given them a change of heart. The biggest sticking point is financial and FSU and Clemson have to decide whether or not they want to make that investment to leave.

I do think this is the best and only real option for Clemson and hope they go for it. We should look at the benefits over the long-term and not be too short-sighted about what it will cost right now.
