Since we're not hearing new on a big hire to Clemson,

could that mean each position will be filled from within? Hoping tomorrow's presser will answer a lot of our questions.

Yeah, I'm guessing promotion from within. Not what I was hoping, especially on offense, but I know nothing about coaching.

.... stanford was more "family/from within" during their fall from 9+ win seasons....

How many playoffs did Stanford make?

Championships won? Same philosophy hardly means same results. Different players, different coaches. Though Shaw and Dabo are close, different head guys.

Agreed. Shaw seems like a good guy. Hate they have fallen off the map as of late.

NO, but it has worked. And so did Dabo's inner circle, but..

.... times have changed. No sane person can look at football today and say what worked three year ago will work today.... Saban adapted. Dabo will have to at some point.

And again with the coaches are different. What I don't get is the questioning of our head coach before his decisions are made public. That you Kornblut?

I fired Kornblut... so no, not him.

I'm not questioning him... I'm saying BOTH methods have worked. Whatever he does, I'll support.

Stanford was content with 9 win seasons. And why focus on them. Noticed you did argue about Bama's formula for success. I guess you just like to argue... Truth is, hiring SOLELY from within limits your potential and access to new ideas.

Coaches regularly seek out other staffs for new ideas

people come here, and we go other places. Bama's success hinges on Saban, nothing else. Plenty of big name coordinators flame out. Where does ours hinge?

Probably bug news coming....wouldn't wait two weeks to introduce Streeter and whoever is left from Brent's staff.

Streeter is being promoted to offensive coordinator. Mickey Conn and Wes Goodwin will tag team the defense as co-coordinators.
We’re staying in house.

I love how many seem to think it's bad (or bug) news... what exactly tells you that? Don't use a game where Streeter was running Tony's already installed plan last minute and wasn't running his own plans.

Apparently Goodwin is a savant and was BVs right hand man. That’s something to get excited about.

Streeter's play calling in the CFP last year has been what I hang my concern on with him. Your take is a bit more even than mine. The piece I would still argue is that before it got completely out of hand, not enough adjustments were made to at least stem the tide. I like Streeter. In my mind, he's the toughest quarterback to step on the Paw. And yes, I'd rate him above DW4 in that category. I have complete confidence in Dabo. He's earned it. This season was hard, for everyone. Until he proves he can't improve it, I will let him do what he does. Lord knows my NCAA 14 Dynasty skills don't rate against his IRL run.

streeter play calling in the cfp wasn't his game plan it was Tony he did not have time to change it because Tony got covid just before the game that is not enough time for streeter to come up with a different game plan so you can't blame his play calling on just one game give him a chance look what streeter did at Liberty and Richmond when he was offensive coordinator at those schools

Did you see D Hood's article. "Don't be surprised to see a Former Head Coach as an analyst." Cutcliffe, Adazio, Gruden, Randy Sanders, Fuentes, Morris, Danny Ford?
