Economic times are tough. You do what you have to do. Have none of you seen the vans at shopping malls offering to buy gold and silver? Have none of you seen someone near a street holding signs offering to buy your gold and silver? I never saw so many billboards advertising to buy gold and silver as I did last month going on vacation. Did I say timea are tough?

This is kinda sad. Seems as though that ring would be a reminder of a special time in his life with a band of brothers he enjoyed going to war with every Saturday. But then again, who knows what this kid is going through.

So he can sell it again. Some guys don't love Clemson as much as you want them to. It's just a ring and just a school to some.

Like I've been trying to tell my fellow tiger fans, this "championship" meant nothing. With the bowl debacle and humiliation given to us by NCst and SC the players didn't care. KB does not need the money, he needs to forget about last season. Great way for him to depart with those haunting memories of K. Steele. GOOOO TIGERS

He was an undrafted free agent and was cut by San Francisco after only a few months he also has a kid to support. He NEEDS the money.

I wish he could figure a way to keep the ring. The lifetime of memories far outweigh the 1k it's currently selling for. Especially for his kid(s) and grandkids. Once a tiger, always in the Clemson family for life. God Bless him, I wish him well

stated. " This is the most impressive in all of Clemson history ! " That's quite a statement ! I can assure you that this isn't a bigger "piece of Clemson history " than the national championship ring, and no more important than the other championship rings. It's only sad if he's selling it out of need to do so, if he's selling it because it has no special meaning to him, then it's not sad, except for the fact that it has no sentimental value or meaning to him. I hope that it's the prior and not the latter, but $!000.00 isn't going to make a financial impact that outweighs the lifetime of sentimental meaning. Especially when he could show it to his kids and grandkids oneday
