I don't get to listen to the games much living out of state. But the "Orange in the end zone" call to me is silly.

It's always especially tough when you're following a legend like Jim Phillips, but I think Pete does a good job overall.

Agreed! Pete does a very good job, but I think he wanted a "signature call." You older Tigers may remember Charlie McClendon's "Whoo-eee Mercy!" Unfortunately, Pete's call opened the door for smartarses like Todd Ellis to come up with the "There's orange in the parking lot" crap. Pete's a really good guy and can do better!

i agree with the following the legend part,however, i'm sure that pete could come up with something a lot better than that. but,imo, i think pete tries to be too neutral, instead of being branded a homer, as not to hurt the tv aspect of his career.
