Re: Question for Judge Keller, and a concept for others

Whatever is making “Clemson fans” feel the need to disparage Dabo to show support for Brownell OR vice versa is misguided. There’s no need to compare programs within our university, and definitely no need to knock one of our programs to do so.

For Judge Keller,, I appreciate the enthusiasm for our mens basketball program, truly. I, like everyone here who’s not a coot, am pulling for THIS to be the team that sets an expectation within a season and actually follows through with results. Many of us have seen this play out poorly way too many times.

So my question is this: how do you expect this team to perform in the ACC tourney where we can’t hide behind a record against the worst teams in the league?

History has taught many of us to be skeptical.
Doesn’t mean we don’t hope, but the SOS even in league leaves much to be desired, I’d love for this team to be “different.”

No one is a hater! Stop acting stupid. You’re acting like progressives that ignore reality, science data and oh yeah, history and it’s our basketball history, especially under Brad Brownell that make us skeptical.

I said earlier in the year I was cautiously optimistic. But right on cu things took a turn. And yes, last night was a blowout win. But it was on our home court against a bad basketball team. Let’s see how the next few games play out.

And for what it’s worth, I used to be personal friends with a bunch of our basketball players back in the 80s. Used to hang out with them over in Lever.

I support Clemson. I support all of our teams. I support all of our coaches. But I don’t give blind loyalty. Anyone that does needs to think about things and put it in perspective. It’s foolish. Furthermore, expectations and criticism come with the job. It’s why alumni and fans and IPTAY members donate money and buy tickets. Just like the government works for the people. At least it supposed to. These coaches work for the University and the University is the fans, the students and the alumni.

Some of you people act like we owe Dabo and Brad Brownell. No, they owe us. We pay their salaries. If not for us, they don’t have a job.
