Paying Players

Dec 15, 2015, 7:46 AM

Article below about Clemson grad creating a way to pay players. My thought is anyone involved with this should not be associated with Clemson in any way....job, fundraising, recruiting....anything. Don't even let the ex-players involved around current recruits.

Thoughts?

Youre falling into the "coot trap". Ignore it, has nothing to do with anything. That idiot bunch are so butthurt, it happens every year. Everytime we get a good recruit, we are paying them, we are cheating, blah blah blah. Seems to me THEY were the last state team to be put on probation, were they not? When you go 3-9, lose to the Citadel and get spanked by your rival two years in a row, this is what happens.

Very true. Its just alarming that someone on the board for the above project is doing fundraising for Clemson.

The coot tears right now could cure California's drought.

That is an incorrect statement

Nobody is using this site as a fundraiser for Clemson.

That is more about a Clemson grad

starting a business to make money. Click on the link, it is not a Clemson thing at all. In fact, Clemson is not even one of the schools on their list. Clemson is not affiliated at all with this. Anybody can use his website for any player from any school...for a small fee.

Clemson sent them a cease and desist order. This is very old news.

In the article he says that all they want is to "give the athletes a little more". I believe that these athletes are given alot already as it is. Since when did a free education's value decrease? Im not positive on what the average tuition of a Clemson student is, but im sure it isn't pocket change.
