opinions on the best bourbon.

it's saturday night before father's day,and i just had a great prime rib dinner at home, and now i'm just kicking back and enjoying a little after dinner drink-booker's straight and then some red stag,so i got to thinking that with so many choices now available, what do other people consider their favorite and why.back in school we drank rebel yell,or if we had extra money, wild turkey.

Mama & Daddy didn't have any type of seal for the top area, so she dipped the finished bottle into a vat of red candle wax to provide seal...and today it's a plastic replica.
Also, they are older than Jim Beam or Jack Daniel. Pretty expensive but I drink it at home or out...and when I ask for Makers, the bar keeper is impressed.
Go for it Tiger...and Go TiGERs!

You have extra cash, Buffalo Trace if you're on budget. Buffalo is some good stuff for the price.

Pappy is very good...but extremely expensive. Blantons and BH are more expensive than your avg. KY bourbon

I'm partial to Bulleit. It's buttery smooth.

Woodford Reserve is my favorite, but Basil Hayden and Makers Mark 46 are close behind. There's a new double barrel Woodford, but I haven't tried it yet.

All of the above are solid but Basil Hayden is my favorite. I did the "bourbon trail" in Kentucky and Woodford Reserve was my favorite. Basil is the only bourbon that I have liked better, including the more expensive ones like Baker's and Blanton.
Not sure if it helps or hurts my credibility but I'm enjoying a Basil Hayden as I type this.
