Go to the 9 minute mark.
Translation: 1. We are in the ACC today. 2. We are doing everything we can to get out of the ACC as soon as possible. 3. Until we are able to leave the ACC, we will continue to be the best athletic program we can so that we can get out of the ACC as soon as possible.

I hope we are right there with FSU during departure. I wish I could say it’s been wonderful but it hasn’t

I'd expect Rad and Neff still have some interesting conversations ...***

"I have no anticipation that the rapidity of changing environment will subside."
Translation: We are extremely hopeful and optimistic that Clemson will be out of the ACC very soon. We have no anticipation of being in this conference in 5 years, much less 10. It is probably closer to 5 months than it is 5 years.

I would love to be in the room when Neff conducts Dabo is annual performance review. I envision it is Dabo who provides the review of Neff. joking everyone - no reply necessary

Hmm, I’m not so sure about that in that relationship especially.

Bret, if I recall correctly, FSU has already given notice they are pulling out of the ACC after their 2 year notice. Two questions, do you have any idea how they plan to handle the Grant of Rights, and do they know where they are going to land? TIA

No, they haven't.

They have made it very clear that they cannot stay in the ACC for the indefinite future with the income disparity between what they are now getting and what SEC and B1G are getting.
They haven't made any official announcement, but they have made it very clear that they will leave at the first available opportunity, SEC or B1G.
And, I suspect the AD's at Clemson and FSU are talking on a weekly basis, if not more often.

Why do we think that CU automatically has to act in union with FSU ? Bad assumption. Won't happen. AND I don't think we are going anywhere anytime soon.

I always heard it was best to go with a partner from the conference you are leaving. It's either FSU or UNC, or both.

Unless someone finds a way out of the GOR, you are correct.

Great take bretfsu. Sometimes it is hard to decipher what Neff is saying with his AD speak and being politically correct. I would like Clemson to follow FSU’s lead and I vote for them to join the sEC.

I don’t really need a realignment.
I think we’re more in the market for an EXCHANGE.

The more successful Clemson and FSU are in the 12 team playoffs the more readily we are both scooped up by the SEC or B10.
The creation of a bidding war between the B1G and SEC may likely develop
Personally , I believe the SEC wants us more and will prevail.

Thanks for the summary, Bret. The problem is still the GOR. Have you heard anything about that situation from FSU?

The problem is the GOR AND having a landing spot.

You think we have been disrespected and abused by the ACC over the years.......just wait until you see how the SEC looks down their noses at Clemson.
