Strange things are afoot in Athens. They scoop Zamir and then the next best RB in the class decommits from FSU and is leaning there. And then Micah Parsons with this nonsense. And the fact that Salyer is even considering them tells me something is up - this is a team that can't get out of its own way in a cake division and hasn't won since what, the Herschel Walker days??? #w.t.f.

Georgia has been recruiting Salyer the longest and Salyer has always had them as his top school. Not sure where you're going with that one. Must be another kid with "attitude problems" or "got paid" if we don't land him, huh? This site makes me laugh sometimes.

Whoa pump the brakes there conspiracy theorist! Why WOULD he consider them? They don't win squat and he is a legit Top 15 OVERALL recruit as an OFFENSIVE LINEMAN! Dude can go to Bama, Clemson, Ohio State, Michigan, anywhere. So why would he consider a second rate football school? It's a fair question wiseass.

Hes a Georgia kid, Georgia fan and they've been recruiting him the longest? Pretty simple reason. They hauled in the best Oline class last year and if they managed to Pokemon Salyer and Hill this year they'd all look good. I know we think we're the best ever now that we've won an NC but let's talk it facts.

What does his being a Georgia fan have to do with anything? Good lord, if I had chosen a college based on who I was a fan of as a kid, I'd have gone to Rutgers or Miami. That's absurd. These kids are in a business with a view toward making millions in the future. And that future doesn't include UGA putting players in the pros like the other football factories.

Georgia is top 5 in the country for alum in the NFL and tied with bama for the school with the most top 100 NFL players currently. Again let's speak in facts.

Didn't realize that if that stat is true. I guess being a northeasterner we just think of UGA as a joke. But if they are a "football factory" in the conversation with the elite schools (again, I'll take your word for it), then OK. Still seems odd to choose them over a Bama, FSU, or Clemson /shrug

That stat is exactly why Richt is fired and I don't worry about Miami recruiting well. He will at best have the same kind of talent he did at Georgia ane just choke it away.

I remember them playing in a bowl when Schiano was their coach and there were no more than 7,000 people there for them from the looks of it when the camera showed the crowds.

You do realize that when cj spiller, Sammy Watkins, Tony steward and stephone Anthony committed to us that we hadn't won anything in forever either. So by your logic, they committed to a "second rate football school" too. Why would they do that?
Kids don't commit to schools just because a school wins Natty's all the time. There's a lot more that goes into it. Those great players that came to Clemson before we started winning big saw more to Clemson that just championships. Maybe, just maybe, some kids just like other schools.

IMO, this has nothing to do with them committing to Georgia, or them even considering it. I think they're just having some recruiting fun and messing with the fan bases, showing the schools some love, in hopes those fans follow them on twitter. I think that's all this is r eally about is seeing how many followers they can get cause that's really all young people want on Twitter. I would be extremely surprised if Micah Parsons didn't commit to Ohio State (I mean I heard rumors his dog is named Brutus after the Buckeye) and I would be even more surprised if KJ didn't commit to Clemson, and if at this point it isn't a Clemson/Bama battle. Lastly, if they base their college decision on which fan base follows them the most on Twitter...they might want to reconsider their priorities. Relaxxx and don't worry about every little thing these recruits tweet out, it's all for show and attention, just like all of social media.

Don't read into this. They are 16-17 year olds, and social media followers = popularity to them. They are just teasing their resources.
For example, Jackson Carman tweeted today "Who's gonna get me to 7k?". He doesn't care which school will get him followers, he just wants to get to 7k followers.
Also, #CommitToTheG is Georgia's equivalent to #We2Deep18. He knows that if he uses that, old men on Georgia boards will get all excited and get followers.
