Looking ahead, my guess is we finish 9-3 with losses to

Louisville, ND, and FSU. Just too many early player losses. I think we are weak at LB and special teams will lose us a game. We beat the bees 35-24 and I'm more worried about the Wolfpack than the cluckers.

Youre right, youre just guessing. Wonder if thats what the team is thinking? DW? Artavious? Lawson? Ye of little faith. I think we will be ready for all three "losses".

We have one of the greatest qb's in the game our defense and special teams is going to be polished by the time we get to louisville. So that means we can only take it one game at a time. Right know we're 1-0 but I feel that this year can be a special year for our Clemson tigers.

I really think we can win out but we'll have to take it 1 game at a time. Louisville will be fired up and rightly so. We must survive the early emotions and stick with our game plan. Must get our punt team together. I think we can score off of punts. We have the speed defense is strong but our lb depth is concerning.Hope we get Rashaun Smith back.

Wofford and App are about as good as we could ask for if we have to play FSC (or whatever they are calling div II teams now). Those teams are good enough to show us some of our weaknesses and give us chance to improve upon them while still permitting us to delay installation of some of the playbook. The one concern I have is the increase in sped and athleticism which will be realiEd when we hit Louisville. But our practices should help make this not too great a surprise. I think this year will be good and next year will be better.

Not seeing it. We always nab an impressive win every year, and beating GT isn't that.

Same 1 that beat a top 10 UGA and "should've had 11 wins if not for four 4th Q blown leads?
Louisville was (top 25) ok..... FIFY

Louisville doesn't match up well with us this year. Neither does ND or FSU. Nobody does, because nobody has an answer for #4. Keep him healthy, keep winning.

Biggest questions for me were Gore and Hyatt at OT and whether Dodd, Goodson, Boulware, and the DTs had improved enough technique-wise to play at a higher level. I know it's only an FCS opponent, but the technique was outstanding all game and certainly good enough to beat anyone on the schedule. I'm thinking 11-1 currently. Not that impressed with Louisville or FSU.

I think we've got the ability to do very, very well this year but if I were going to call the Louisville game today, I'd say we lose it due to location & short week. The rest is a big question mark to me.

Good analysis, Tmac. Sux that UL get so much more rest than us leading up to this one?

Maybe you misinterpreted my final sentence when I mentioned "rest". I was meaning the rest of the season.
However I do believe Louisville will still be at an advantage rest-wise since it's a short week and they won't have to travel. It's already difficult to play a short week game, but having another day of rest erased due to travel only complicates things. On top of that, Louisville plays tough at home, especially on Thursday nights, where the home team wins at a rate of something like 70%.

We will go 10-2 or 11-1 and No Louisville won't be a loss. I think ND will beat us and possibly FSU.

The freshmen play was strong medicine for me. They knocked the fever right out. Another good solid outing by them will stop the erectile dysfunction and I'll be good to go the rest of this season.

Our LB's will be fine, we were playing second string guys by the 2nd Quarter, those were rugby punts, you don't see them much. We should be able to win every game thats on our schedule. However, its like Dabo says "We play Clemson 12 times a year" and I believe that a loss is just us tripping over ourselves. (FSU game last year)

Scott had no trouble fielding punts, in time Ray Ray will take over but not yet. I'm not worried about Scott. Williams being out hurts but if the freshman step up like they can we will be fine at WR. Really hope Williams can be back by FSU. RB's are legit this year. On Defense D line and DB's are fine. Starting LB's are good too, just don't have depth we need, hopefully someone can step up but the rest of the defense being solid should help out. With Waston we are in every game period.W Waston is the difference, keep him healthy and a special season is very possible.

I will be extremely disappointed if we drop even one home game. No one associated with ND knows what's in store for them.
