Kam Pringle. I am asking a logical question and

would appreciate only logical answers. However, the reason I hesitate to post on TigerNet is always some wise** has to show his/her immaturity and respond with a cute answer. Question is: When we started recruiting Pringle, was he seriously open, and undecided where he would eventually commit? If so, then we got out recruited in state! Maybe some of you know things that I don’t. I just cannot understand how, with our new OC hire, the young man would rather play for them rather than CU.

My understanding is he has been a Gamecock fan for years. He may have been “open to looking” in the beginning, but it was always going to be an uphill battle.

If he was smart, he’d go someplace different. Hard to get a lot of action if your primary girl is on campus.
He could have a lot of fun at Clemson and visit her from time to time in Columbia to get a break.

See my post just prior to this one on how I've had this info drilled into my head but I think that's Harbor's girlfriend. She's already on their track team.

I've been quarantined with Covid with 2 other members of my family, one of which is (embarrassingly) one of *them*. I've heard WAY more than any single person on the face of the earth should ever hear about that place but apparently the kid grew up a Florida fan. Has a cousin or some family member that is currently on Florida's team. Told him that Florida might flip him and thought he might cry.

His choice showed ,obviously, he's not very bright. Better that he be in Columbia.

You can’t get them all and kid probably grew up

in a predominantly Coot environment. As long as we get good players, I don’t really care where they come from. Nice to get the best SC kids, which usually isn’t that many at this level on an annual basis, but again, unrealistic to think we get them all.

We were out recruited. Some people have different things they’re looking for and bond with different people.

I would be stupid to not realize that not everyone loves Clemson as I do.

Yeah I mean I would’ve chosen Clemson in 1995 even though

we weren’t very good if I was a top recruit.
Sometimes people like other schools.

Yeah, I like recruits like this from the state

Some play the game with both schools but then there are the mean kids that actually hate the elder professionals recruiting them. We've benefited moreso than not with that aspect.
I think the DL needs to take note of a f ew very nice looking OTs over the next few years, from the lower state

Kind of like us growing up Tiger fans. Sometimes in SC you cannot flip that allegiance.
Clemson has actually gotten some SC childhood fans.

Que the bs excuses about him being a lifelong gamecock fan. That may have held water in the past but this is the age of front running, ADD adolescents. Loyalty is an alien concept in this day and age.

Instate guys who grow up Coot fans will always be an uphill battle. Name one recruit out of state that we went after hard that chose SC over us. Hard to find one if any. We do however lose those instate guys. It is what it is. SC has always relied on the state of SC for their success. Unfortunately there’s a heck of a lot more coots fans out there than Clemson.
