If I understand correctly ... he goes to the NBA "look see's", then they will evaluate him and tell him whether he is "ready" or not ? IF they say his talents need refining, he then has the option to return to Clemson for another year ?

Basically, you can declare intent all day long ... the NBA now gives you chance to "try out" first ... grades .... then you make up your mind for sure

He has not signed an agent.
new rules say you can declare which makes you eligible for the draft combine. If you dont hear good things from the combine you can withdraw and return to school.

Signing with an agent is the killer. Clemson has their own agent who represents future pro athletes therefore it is not necessary to sign with a professional agent and risk your amateur status. My guess is the school counsel acts as an agent bit I am not sure on this. Perhaps someone knows for sure
