Although it’s very sad to say , I don’t think it takes a rocket scientist to see that this is not our year ! But my goodness , the fact that the kid shows up at 12 at night after a long , grueling game should at least show some of you that sit on the couch watching this game that this kid cares ! Perfect ? No. But he cares and is trying ! And the fact that there was not one receiver willing to be out there with him , tells me that maybe they don’t ! Maybe just maybe the problem isn’t the talent on the team , but the chemistry!

Clearly there are issues at WR and TE, in terms of blocking, route running, drops and leadership, no question. Maybe just the personnel or maybe a position coach that is over his head at this level at this time. Big drop off from Jeff and Brad Scott .
I think DJ is clearly trying. He is a very difficult situation in that he is following two generational QBS, our OL is below average and we are incredibly inconsistent at WR and TE. Add all that to the fact that his 2000 miles from home, his parents are now divorced - that's probably huge to a kid who's cultural is all about family - and his Dad is somewhat of a larger than life cartoon character who has done an incredible job promoting the kid and the brand but isnt here now to help him with the rough times.
Very sad situation and maybe he pulls things together and improves. Some of the things he's lacking in, he should improve with experience, others, not so sure. Regardless, as I said, its obvious, we are riding with him in 2021 so we all might as well support him. 2022 should be an open competition for QB, just like it was with DW4 when he finally took the reins from Cole Stoudt and TLAW when he passed KB.

to me. A photographer on the field, 5-10 yards away, in front of him throwing caught by another reporter. Not impressed, at all!

It's not like they go to the locker room at the practice facility to change and he made a special trip to Death Valley. He was already there.

Is it a photo op only because he is a college kid? I mean Kobe, MJ, Lebron and other pros do it, but since it is DJ it is a photo op, GTFO. I get it, DJ is struggling and everyone wants TP to get a series. Hell I do too, but not because I think DJ is a bust or garbqge like some of the posters on here say. Glad to see the young man putting in the extra work, an no poster on here will no the exact reasoning on why he was out there, it is all speculation.
Puy the work in DJ, I and many others are pulling for you.
