If you don't care about the Cam drama GET IN THIS THREAD

ok so the Clemson men's tennis team beat Woffors 4-3 and 6-1 this past weekend in a double header. wooooooo

I am so disillusioned with how poor the team is this year. I saw an article today where Luke Johnson talked about wanting to be a top 100 pro. An article from a Leeds England newspaper where he is from. I think he should probably start with beating ranked college players first (something he has done only once in his career I believe).

The supposed super Freshmen Favrot got romped by Wofford's #1 6-3 6-2 in the 2nd match. He was supposed to be the 9th best incoming freshman this year and one of the team's lone bright spots.


They had a birthday party in between matches for bench-warmer Ryan McMullen. I cannot recall them ever doing that for any other player, not even the ones that won a lot of matches let alone played. Now of course they could have birthdays at other times of the year but surely someone in the past has had a spring birthday?

Was at this match/have been around the team a lot. Similar problem to lots of college teams, we have lots of "solid" players, can't seem to get those two really good players that will give you the guaranteed one of the three doubles matches and 90% of the time win their singles matches....

Examples: Yannick Maden/Hunter Harrington after that Hunter/Dom Maden..

We have a lot of players that would be good number three players in the ACC struggling to find the top two though.

Not a lot of teams have this issue

we are probably the 2nd worse team in the ACC this year (Boston College will always be worst because they don't give scholarships for men's tennis). Louisville and Miami are also bad, so it'll be a battle between us and those 2. Vs every other ACC team it will be very hard to beat. We are currently not in the top 75 and are unlikely to get in for the rest of the year.

Favrot is supposed to be that guy to be at the top of the lineup, he had a very high UTR entering college. Among the top 50 already in the nation. I think had had an injury in the fall, maybe that is holding him back so far. Still early, be can still get big wins.

they were excellent players. Dom was an exceptional doubles player, one of the very best in the nation.


Hunter started slow in his career but he was very good his sophomore and junior seasons. Had a dangerous forehand and was so very close to beating Alex Domijan in 2014, which would have given Clemson the monumental upset of Virginia
