You better sure as heck get rid of Brownell. Time to take out the trash. This is the worst season ever. At least the ACC was actually good when Shyatt was coach.

I'm not saying it would be the right thing to do, but Brownlee is a TDP guy, so DRAD has no particular allegence to him; and given how bad this team is, I wouldn't rule it out.

suggesting that it should. I'm just saying that Clemson basketball is in a really bad place right now, trending downward, with an uncertain future. Brownell may be the man who can turn it back around, but he is not DRAD's guy and DRAD has no personal reason to hang with him as long as TDP would.

Brownell likely gets another year but you get the feeling that a coaching change is inevitable.

recruit at Clemson than at many other ACC schools, maybe any of them. The question then becomes, could anybody else recruit better? If we don't show dramatic improvement next year, I think the search for another coach gets underway with full steam any way you slice it.

It's been a disgrace. I've never seen a team get progressively worse like this during a season. Brownell lost the team and now we must all demand for him to hit the road. DRAD will not stand for this type of mockery.

Exactly; Tigerpride 1 must be one heck of a "coach-in-waiting". Coleman did lose her team early when highly touted frosh recruits began bailing out. Those did not do too well early on, either. Brownell has not lost this team.
He is playing without any real experienced backcourt guys and very few shooters. Roper looked great the 1st 6 minutes today and then Larkin covered him like an Army blanket. McDaniel might give them some scoring punch in ACC but unless Hall, Jennings, Harrison and Filer play much better, Then the combo of 'McD', Roper and Booker cannot carry this team.
Brownell knows where his needs are and hopefully he can find a big guy and wing player that will help.
Blossingme and Coleman might just help the latter need next season.

If you make as much money as Brownell, you should feel obligated to work your butt off recruiting. He's done nothing to recruit since he stepped foot on campus. He rarely shows any emotion on bench. He rarely coaches the players. He's just collecting a paycheck and laughing at us all the way to the bank.

If we let him bring in another group of Div 3 recruits, it will just make it tougher for next coach.
We've hit rock bottom. It can't get worse. We lost by 20+ to Coastal. Time to make a change NOW.
