I plan on being a little more professional than that.
I have yet to hear a respected figure at Clemson comment on the Big XII rumors and speculation.
The SEC/Big XII announcement last week changed the college football landscape.
These are interesting times for the ACC.

Notre Dame is definitely the wild card.
I know they want to continue to keep their independent status, but you wonder if this latest expansion move will force them to reconsider?
Like I stated, earlier....these are interesting times in college athletics.

I have no idea.
I don't mean to ride the fence on this one, but I have yet to see or hear the Big XII extend any invitation, and I've yet to hear any reliable source at CU comment that they had any plans to look into the expansion process.
However...with that being said, NOBODY knew that the Big XII & SEC would send shockwaves with their announcement last week.
At this point, anything is possible.
College football has changed forever and the era of the Super Conference has arrived.

It's all to the detriment of what makes college football so great. Regional rivalries are being destroyed and TV contacts that require pushover conferences like the ACC to play 9 conference games will take away great OOC matchups, too. It's all a money grab with no thought given to what's best for the fans, the athletes, and the great traditions of the sport. Shame on the power brokers-- Swofford, Slive, Delaney, included-- for not knowing right from wrong and expressing some restraint in all of this.

It is a money grab.
And you are right on about the loss of regional rivalries, and it is a shame.
However, you can't put the genie back in the bottle, so you better figure outa way to be invited to the Super Conference table.
You are either in or out, and right now the ACC is in a very interesting position.

Clemson University is considered to be one of the higher educational University's. It didn't get that rep by having stupid people running it. I can't ever see Clemson left behind and costing the University millions. Get your B12 gear b/c that will be our conference affiliation.

Because they did for WVU (although WVU has to repay $5M of the $10M fronted by the Big 12). While the Big 12 needed WVU for scheduling purposes (which may have contributed to the Big 12's desire to help), I can't imagine why they wouldn't offer Clemson the same, particularly if it also means bringing FSU into the fold.

The Big XII needed schools to survive.
They were in dire straits last year...they were in the process of losing Mizzou and A&M...it's a whole new ballgame now.
I'd be very surprised if they paid anybody to join their conference.
The new TV package guarantees them 20 Mil per school, per year....they are happy with 10 teams and they have stablized themselves.
Comparing the expansion now vs. the inclusion of WVU is night vs. day.

I agree that circumstances are different. That being said, the revenue jump from adding WVU & TCU is not in the same league as adding FSU and Clemson. Given the significant boost that these two teams would provide (in excess of WVU and TCU) could motivate the Big 12 the pony up.

You forgot to add the additional cost of travel expenses for playing teams in the Big XII that are regionally-based.
Listen, if CU wants to leave and the Big XII offers an invite, then leave.
Same goes for FSU or anybody else that is unhappy with their present working conditions.
All I'm saying is that this is an interesting time in college athletics....I've never seen anything like it.

since you showed up here allow me to say that I really enjoy your show and think you do a great job of keeping things on track and entertaining at the same time.
However, PLEASE STOP WITH THE WVU JUST SCORED AGAIN CRUD!!!  We all know it was bad! You do a great job of not showing a Clemson bias on the air, but you don't have to go that far to keep showing it!!!

Like 99.9% of all Clemson fans, I was embarrassed with the effort. If a team plays hard and loses a game, you can deal with that....but the Orange Bowl debacle was ridiculous.
Just like with 99.9% of Clemson fans, the ACC Championship game was spectacular. Awesome crowd, great team effort and a championship performance in the biggest conference game of the year.
You take the good with the bad....and I'm hoping the defensive lapse in the Orange Bowl will be a great motivator for better defensive efforts in the Dabo Era.

I've never attended a game in which somebody asked me about SAT scores or academic progress.
That Orange Bowl game should motivate every CU player, coach, administrator and fan.
It was ridiculous.

That would be impossible to answer considering the fact that the Big XII hasn't agreed to expand from their current 10 team league format.
That doesn't mean there haven't been discussions behind closed doors, but there hasn't been any formal invite or acknowledgement that they plan to add any schools to their conference.
